Unfortunately, there is no material object or any kind of real information that travels faster than light in quantum entanglement.
A good analogy on what happens in QE is like this: suppose you have two balls, one black and one white, and two boxes. You blindfold yourself and put each ball in a box (not knowing which goes where). These two boxes will be your "entangled" system. Then you carry one box to the edge of the Universe, billions of light years away, while leaving another one at your home. Then you open box at your home and find black ball inside - and immediately with that fact you obtain information about far edge of the Universe that the box there will contain white ball, even though actual experimental test result there would take billions of years to reach you.

It is somewhat different to that though in that when you open your box you could find either ball in it and until it's opened it potentially contains both. The information is not predetermined as it is in your analogy, there is no analogy that really makes sense.

It doesn't destroy anyone's work, relativistic theories will continue to work almost perfectly as they did before (just like Newton's mechanics still works in its area). It only means that it's not a complete theory and there will be a substantially new theory that will encompass relativity and classical mechanics.
It will destroy only fundamentality of principles used to build relativistic mechanics, i.e. they will become just nice approximations instead of primary laws of physics.

Well in the defence of the trivial error argument I think the difference is about 12 metres between how far light and the neutrinos would have traveled in that time, which does seem to suggest a measurement error.

The first true programmable digital computer (what we are still somewhat "using" up to date) was designed and built by this hungarian fellow (with the help of others ofc, but he was the leader mind behind it):

I wont deny that Hungarian researches had a notable impact on all the items on your list, but they didn't invent the airship nor the diesel engine nor the electric motor for example. Contributions to science - yes, inventions - no (ok I don't know about all items on this list).

There are many questionable inventions what some hungarians like to claim to our nation (like the helicopter), historians still argue about these claims but I paid great attention not to list any of them.

First, I didn't say "only" contributions. Second, if real fundamental inventions aren't something new, what is? And back to the start, how is this an indicator for culture at all? Schwarz had to build his airship in Russia because he was lacking support in his country, Ferenc did most of his important work outside of Hungary and Einstein was forced out of Germany by a population full of nationalistic scum. Its about great individuals, not about culture in many cases.

But packets don't even travel at 100% of the light speed in fiber optic (it's about 200 million meters per sec) so I guess we're really far from that.

its better, mainly because isp and/or turkish international routing fixed its issues a bit.

its jumpy from day to day with some days in 70-80 range and other days 60-70 range but I can deal with that.

VPN turned out to be not useful for me as my ping depends entirely on the route it takes in exiting the country with little issues in germany (the servers I play on) itself.

Of course I was implying here that in theory I could ping MUCH better considering the speed of light and distance, that's another issue that wont get fixed in my lifetime though :D

Routing is one thing that could realistically be improved in many cases (at least a bit). Guess gaming isn't big enough yet for anyone to consider working on that though.

It's a step back because it destroys what little there was in time travel speculation, and gives nothing back.

It's already 'happened' a few times with photons, only to be later proved wrong. Even though the current model of Physics is most probably wrong, or at least needs some serious tweaking, this experiment isn't all that.

They measured over a 730km distance with a 2.2 millisecond error; making it only 0.00025% 'faster than the speed of light' which isn't too much.

My guess is that they've measured the wrong part of the neutrino. They've already been shown to have wave behavior in the MINOS experiments, if the initial detector measures the 'tail' of a wave and the end detector measures the head, it could explain the difference.

However if it is right, it could solve the problem of neutrinos disappearing mid-flight which would be decent.

And relativity is extremely sensitive to that principle of constant speed of light (which eventually implies inability to exceed speed of light). You can't just slightly modify relativity to allow for faster than light speeds, you have to completely break it and introduce entirely new principles. So that "speed of light" limit makes sense only in relativity, and if it turns out to be untrue, then there will simply be no such thing as "breaking speed of light barrier" because theory will be formulated in terms that are not including concept of speed of light at all.

"Speed" is equals to the distance divided by the time. The units of the distance and the untis of the time are both different for differently moving observers, but the speed of the light are always the same for everybody.
This maximum speed is not there because scientist defined it, but because there are no possible transformations what could change the norm of the four velocities defining spacetime (X,Y,Z and time). When the photon is moving in our universe the vector on the Time axis is zero, so it can "maximize out" on the X,Y,Z axises all the way, ergo it moves through space as fast as possible.
