Not really, All you saw was the plane crashing and that the Others where residents of the Island with houses and electricity and everything that comes along with it. Then the story picked up from where it ended in season 2

wasn't that Desmond's ex-girlfriend (wife?) who was giving Jack the food and sorta brainwashed him???

dunno, and i'd like to know who that other guy in the cell next to Sawyer's was :O

I think Desmonds girlfriend had an english accent, so I doubt it.

just watched it this morning... i thought it was a good way to start the new season :}

I watched it in HD which was sweet. Quite exciting i thought it was, i can't wait for the next episode. There are far too many blonde women that look-alike imo, gets quite confusing unless you've recently watched season 2 ;)

Interesting to know that they had a file on Jack, which supposedly had everything about his life. Then again they could of possibly gained that info from him whilst he was drugged.

Again, more questions that need to be answered.
