agree on dubstep, but you shouldn't discredit fl studio- i know, it still has the negative image, but mostly it's because of all the logic,cubase and whatnot user can't get over the fact that it's unbeatable in terms of efficiency or people who havent even tried it.

you can do anything (maybe the recording is a lil bit weak featured), all kinds of music (i even made a score for a shortfilm for a friend of mine in fl), etc.

people just have to understand that the DAW is just the bone of your works and will always be feeded with 3rd party plugins. so what makes the difference is the WORKFLOW and since everyone says it's so "easy" to create something,...

how good the output is still really depends on you, but since a lot of young people chose fl studio you'll always get mixed results. afterall fl studio is really the best that could happen in terms of the "music production future".

tunes with breals and tekno are 4 bars and 4 steps, the length of the body of a tune are usually the same length in all tunes and the body length is specific to each scene, which dj of dance call a formula

count bars if your a n00b, and match to tune on deck 2, use pitch slider to match any small bpm offset, chop to tune 2 when body length has finished eithes half way or at the end of tune 1

a 4 step break, and is what dj`s will use to mix a tune, matching the bass and snare to the other tunes bass and snare

dubstep breaks are random, you cannot mix them altogether like you can with dnb, dubstep has no formula, if you want a clean set you have to mix most tunes together by choppage, and not blend and actual mixing of the 2 turntables

the video is the closest that came on search that is choppage mixing, real choppage mixing is either leaving 2 tunes running together and using the crossfader chopping from 1 to the other every few bars, or if your a gangsta dj you use random bars on a tune and give the peice of shit old 1210 a little flick so the pickup is correct

there have to be atleast 1-2 loops that have the snare at 5 and 11 (of 16), why dont they use it if they dont want to chop it up like hell? or use a cue where there is no crowded drumming. you could also use a SIDECHAIN to kill the drums out of the beat (dunno if that has been considered) or put in something straight 4/4 as a pump.

i think it's very rare that a beat has something pushing and essential in the 1/32 steps, so 1/16 is where you have to look at even at "totaly random" dubstep

jungle is just a normal dnb break with some effects on it, breakcore is just a normal dnb break but plays faster

who cares how and when formulas happen, tekstep dnb and dark dnb formula and the sound and darkness is what made it a franchise

hiphop heads have and always will be used to having no formula and will mix anything, grimey dubstep will probaly never have a formula as its root is dnb/hiphop/ragga

most dance scenes cheat by having formulas that pro dj`s and their labels make tunes to and will only release sent in demos in the shops if demos comply

dnb wasnt international until 97 when tekstep came along, jungle was just some shit music no1 cared about. dubstep was picked up on by all tekstep dnb heads when dnb died and has had a international scene since 2002
