K1llsen is coming into his own but Gamescon might just have been home territory advantage. Would like to see how he does elsewhere as I think if he shows a good showing elsewhere then I'd give it to him easily. Stermy is consistently beating the top3 but frequently choking in the most random situations.

I think it has to be k1llsen right now. As someone stated above Stermy can beat the top4, he just doesn't follow through. So Stermy is a very close 6th.

imo, k1llsen wont win anything big at near future, gamescon was simply a nice event for him, everything was for him at those days.
and stermy was improved at last big events, he is a very hard opponent for everyone from top4.

He was running around with only rail and hitting almost every one like crazy; never seen such a heavy-rail game before from anyone for that matter. If he manages to repeat that on LAN he can easily be top3. Plus he gained huge confident boost for winning ESL with big names, and well maybe we'll see different k1llsen in the near future. He's a fucking animal in terms of aim, his rail is just sick atm.

To be fair, k1llsen has always been a good online player. I think Strenx is the only better online player.

I completely agree that k1llsen's GamesCom win was a confident boost. Now he knows he can beat the best and win a major LAN tournament, now he just needs to show consistency.

It's not only his rg. His lg is pretty sick too lately after he changed his sense. I mean I used to know k1llsen as a average lg user and know he hits 35lg constantly and even outaims strenx sometimes. But I think his main strength besides his obviously strong rg is his movment, dodging and rl. People say he is only rg and that is wrong imo.

actually I feel not too many people say that he is 'rail only' (except the few who feel the need to spam short comments under demo posts, etc :P)
but most say that he relies a lot on his rail aim and that it is the skill that can pull him ahead of the competiton. which is something he has more or less said himself in interviews.

I'm going by potential. We've seen vo0 try his hardest in vq3 and train in it and he still never cracked top 5. We've seen Dahang take down Cypher/Rapha when he is in top form.

As for dkt, hes NEVER been a contender, even when he tries his hardest. ZeRo4 with practice will always be a threat.

well I guess it's pointless after thinking it through.
My personal favorite is Vo0, because he managed to stop over dahang last I saw, also because I like his play style.
Then again, killsen is also in great shape.
What it comes down to is:
practise :)

If you look at Vo0, except Rapha he doesn't have anyone to train over in states that is top4. On the other hand killsen does, but he has a job and family etc. DaHang didn't practise much, shown by letting Vo0 roast him. Zero4 and czm didn't have rapha or Vo0 in tehir groups in the qulifiers to test them fully. Strenx play for fun, and can rage, Stermy, Spartie and the rest of respected top contenders tend to suffer bad luck and better opponents than they deserve.

So i guess we have a lot to look forward to upcoming year!

Why are people consistently placing cooller above avek when it was avek who came up victor in most of their official matches in QL? I like them both equally and it certainly isn't a national preference. The results, however, speak for themselves.

The Cooller Av3k games I can remember recently are 3rd place games which neither really care about.

Maybe cos of coollers quakecon amazing performace? + its just cooller you see? :3

Stermy/K1llsen currently, I hope dahang, Vo0, czm and zero4 practice enough to make the next international event interesting before the top 4.
