Actually I can not understand why there aren’t any handicapped tourneys and why we have to have seedings for every single tournament, leaving no space to breath for the new or not so serious players. I mean, if I participate in a tournament, I will most probably end up playing 1st round with someone like cooler, strenx, noctis etc. (random names, don’t feel insulted if I didn’t said your name :P).

In american pool that is very similar with ql (they have the same tourney structures), they never use seeds and there are many handicapped tourneys. Maybe we are too tense as a community and we take everything too seriously.

Why stop at duel!?

I like the idea of being able to schedule games whenever you want but I can see it ending up with some people not playing at all until the last few days.

It might be better to have it slightly more organised but just more relaxed.

duel is the easiest to organize and doesnt need so much players, thats why i wanted to do this with duel
its not that easy to find a balance to keep flexibility while ensuring that games will be played. maybe a compromise would be to have playweeks. but i dont know, guess i will try how a completely open schedule works out first

well it depends...if you have a 1v1 match but 1 player is afk then you have no match...if you have a 4v4 ctf match with teams of 5/6 and 1 player is afk then you can still play the match.

I'd say stick to the 1v1 leagues and see how it does. if it is relatively successful then I quite like the idea of random team cups...each player adds up then gets put into random teams for a ctf/tdm/ca league/cup. In theory it's quite cool (get to play with new players & those without a clan can play) but high skill players might get annoyed with noobs on their team =[

Alternatively you could just do a ctf league/cup for clans to join and then make a thread for individual players to post & field a team.

go for it.... how well a league does depends on how well the people running it do when it comes to administration and promotion. As long as you have that you'll do alright.

we can also threaten with nuking / editing comments and probation!
