Indeed, Witcher 2 & Borderlands 2 take the spotlight of this week, Resident Evil is a terrible port, Tomb Raider jumped the shark years ago, other stuff is just random.

Oh and LA Noire can be cool.

Witcher series is a must play for any RPG fan, i also recommend the books! Tomb raider was a very nice remake (imo). Borderlands 2 was just meh to me.

i had so much fun with bfbc2. it was kinda weird in mp, i think it had lag on shooting. or maybe it was because i bought the first tft at that time. the destruction, the superb leveldesign, the audio. i think until this day the audio of all the shooting is perfect. downside was missing mods / demo record / spectator function for normal players.

Tempted to buy that to be honest. I think BF3 did improve on pretty much everything, cant wait for BF4!

they all say bf3 did improve, so it must be right.

lol now i remember all the balacing things in bc2. all went snipers (wookies we called them) or rambo medics. the grenade launcher was hilarious overpowered. i remember blowing houses down with rocket launcher and dynamite to get one achievement :D

btw ea made bf3 dlc close quarters for free recently (infantery only). but i never touched it. i thought maybe its a move to get the cod guys.

is l.a. noire a good port on pc?

i was so hoping it's tomb raider 1. ive complete deus ex 1 in all variations and exploits now I'm looking for the next title. steam doesn't have "no one lives forever" or "red faction" :( they need a classics aisle or something, the lack of oldschool games is too damn high.

Oooo Red Faction. The first fps to have fully destructible environments, I remember at the time I was totally blown away by it and to this day I still am!

You need to get those modern texture packs and patches, the game can look much better.

Gameplay is awesome though, ground breaking and still enjoyable today.

does it look really better? i had the experience with classic doom and dn3d, fanmade HD textures and models ruined the atmosphere and looked totally ugly.

google says the steam version isnt moddable/incompatible with fan patches. with gog is fine.

i heard the same goes for duke nukem 3d megaton steam version, not moddable.
