was there any doubt that q3 osp is/was the most competitive and skilled game out there?

Not in my eyes, but I think a lot of people who are not associated with it as their main game want to prove otherwise.

not sure I understand, given that Q4 + mods is basically the same thing as Quake 3 + OSP with a slight twist.

competative no, starcraft, street fighter, counterstrike and many other games are more so

skilled no, i would say qw, q2, cpma and many other games have more depth (re: not as one dimensional/ not as much about pure mouse precision)

watching these cpl demos hitscan precision seems king in q4, and this is where the top osp players have the edge over everyone else

I think its completly irrelevant which mod one played, since it might hardly show a profile of the whole player range but only the highend ones...
