U shouldnt ask questions about scenario of crysis3. its more technology demonstration/hardware-upgrade-causer than good FPS ( A.I. is absent today ), just set all graphix to max/ultra/fat/whatever, get 60fps and say DAMN my pc for 5k$ not that bad !

actually crysis 2 had very decent storyline
and i don't think crysis 3 is only a benchmark, it's very good fps game

how "very good fps game" can be finished in 4.5 hours? Naaaah. And this is on "medium" difficulty...A.I. is absolutely stupid coz u didnt feel the challenge at all and the whole gameplay is forcing u to do same things again and again: new location-->scanning enemies-->hacking turrents-->invisible mode-->kill-->invisible mode-->kill-->go to new location-->scanning enemies.....etc etc etc Fucking annoying. First crysis was good with zero AI but still. Bring back the fucking OPEN locations (not kinda-open) stop doing console shit, crytek, please...funny thing is FarCry3 > crysis3

"and it is less taxing on the system"!? Compared to what? Actually, it is the heavyer game out there, and it is meant to be exactly like that; to be heavy and barely gestible even by the most performing pcs is exactly the only living reason of Crysis;
it is intentionally bad optimized, because the major part of the buyer target are kiddos circlejerking about their "predators pc" their class mates can only dream about, or hypster nerds that spent over 2k€ in not fully used pcs and needs something to bring their gears to the limit and to show on the forums the 5 more frame at seconds they can run it

In 2007 you needed to have 8800GTX in triple sli and c2d x6800 to max out crysis and get 30ish fps @1080p. Each 8800GTX was about 600€ and the cpu was about 1K$. Nowadays a single 7970GHz edition (450€) can play crysis 3 at 50ish fps very high detail @ 1080p and a 250€ (3570k) cpu will perfectly do the job.

My pc is woth around 700€ and i can play crysis with fxaa everything on very high expect shadows which are at medium...

The original crysis was poorly optimized i must admit, but crysis 3 is much better in that aspect.

Cryengine 3 is much better than Cryengine 2, not only because it looks immensely better, but also performs better...

No, crysis 3 has been defined poor optimized by peoples whose job is to give votes to videogames; additionally there are not only the technologic flawes: the story is poor and still enough confuse that many of the peoples that have played the prequels doesn't know if the main chracter of this crysis is prophet or if he's dead; there are tons of glitches, so funny that there are entire youtube videos that collects and votes the best ones; the animations are often raw, and the a.i. is more often than not, embarassely inadeguate in the open environments, leading the player to instinctively abuse the enemy's flaws to own them without even having fun; the bow is considered by some to be overpowered or weapon balancing breaker; the final boss is disappointing, and some peoples couldn't even finish the game after it, due to another bug;
It's obvious that tons of patches will be released in the future, but that doesn't change the fact that Crysis is generally known as "the screenshot game".

Those guys who rate games have never seen the source code of the game to actually know if the game is well optimised or not. Anyway, crysis 3 still runs better than crysis 1 did. People often forget that almost everything in cryengine 2/3 is running in real time, that is one of the reasons why these games are demanding.

The game is easy, the AI is dumb bla bla bla... If people played the game on max difficulty they wouldn't be complaining about that.

The only bug i encountered on the game was bug related to graphics drivers. This game can be played in different ways, so I cant comment that much on this issue, but i admit that there might be bugs for some people.
