It's a lot deeper, much better content, much longer, much better storylines.

fighting is dumbed down though and a bit shit compared.

got 80% of the way through and got bored but wanted to finish the story so ran the cheat commands to kill all enemies on screen every fight =)

You played DA2 before playing Origins... gross

origins >>>>>> DA2

but that doesnt mean it is a bad game in any way, its just several steps down origins, especially regarding combat and character customization.

I played about 1.5hours of DA2, and wasn't able to continue anymore, its that bad. It's a dumbed down hack & slash game, where you can literally progress by rapidly pressing the mouse1 in battles.
I was so pissed about how the hard work and the creation of many talented ppl could go wasted like this.

DAO is brilliant compared to DA2. its still boring sometimes tbh, but it's polished enough, and you continuously feel the intention of the devs how they wanted to make a good game. Its far from perfect, but definitely worth it in my opinion.

You don't get any better as far as modern crgp's go, unless you run indie with stuff like Knights of the Chalice or Geneforge/Avernum, so yeah, why the fuck not, go get it.

Also, don't wait for Skyrim, unless you want to be playing the decaying vestige of Morrowind's stillborn child, Oblivion. Even more dumbed down and removed from it's roots. Fuck that putrid, overhyped piece of shit.

Having bought the ultimate edition for 30 bucks i have to admit its well worth the cash

completed the main game with all its side quests took me 40 hours
but i had to start over so in total would be like 60 hours lol

since i made character choices like i did in DA2 i screwed myself
build is actually very important im now playing the ''expansion''

i now have to agree tho i dont find DA2 a bad game its hardly comparable with DA:O
