(com_blood 1 in quake live only makes it so you can gib bodies in practice mode against bots, that's all, no blood in QL, just sparks)

I don't think he's intentionally trolling,he is probably talking about using the cvar vs bots rather than making a reference to Quake Live not having gibs.

On a sidenote, anyone using blocklist? Mine doesn't seem to work. Added a bunch of 'tards but I still can see all their messages in-game.

Cause it's another fine feature produced by the guys at id; it only works as intended part of the time. Here's another neat tidbit about the block and blocklist. Add some people to your blocklist via the button in their profile, now go ingame and block or unblock someone via the console. Quit the game and now look at your blocklist in your profile, it's cleared! Quality.
