Idra is the most untalented "high skill" player in the foreign community. I still don't know what he's doing in Korea. There were like hundreds better choices than Idra, but only Americans got the chance to become pro with that sponsored online tournament. What a shame. Everybody knows that Europe is miles ahead of USA in terms of really talented players, who could really achieve SOMETHING in Korea.

Play a real game, like Quake 3, one of the first games with widescreen support. In Quake 3, there are no races, only your personal opponent annihilating abilities. Maybe you're a skeleton, maybe you're an alien. Race is irrelevant, because it's all superficial.

I don't deny that IdrA is a tool and he doesn't perform well... basically ever but this talk is actually interesting, he does have some insight on SC2 so it's worth watching.

IdrA is bad, but so is everyone who is a non-korean. The European players are bad too. Who are you suggesting go to Korea? MoonShine, ParanOid, Dreiven? Because I don't really feel that any of those players are "miles ahead" of IdrA

For example Strelok, Mondragon, White-RA, Brat_OK, IefNAjj (not American) & bunch of Chinese players.

Mondragon has been offered to go at least once before and refused, the others are good foreigners but not "miles ahead" of IdrA, come on now, I don't like picking specific events and saying "lol, lost to DIMAGA or lost to Pomi in WCG quals", none of the players you listed with the exception of Christophe have really consistent results.

As for the Chinese, I really think the barrier is too great, not many people speak English in Korea but nobody speaks Chinese. Look at Lx and PJ, still probably the best players in China, they were miserable failures in Korea.

IdrA won a tournament, the winner of this tournament would get a chance on eSTRO, those were the conditions. IefNaij even competed in this and took only 4th place. IdrA won, he went to Korea and hasn't given up yet even after like 10 months, I'm glad for him

Thing about quake, if you don't have the right visual settings, you might not like it. It sounds superficial but it isn't. It's like a work of art. If you fuck up a Van Gogh, it doesn't work anymore. It was the same way with UT. I couldn't stand the game until I drastically altered the visual settings.

Of course, normal people don't know how to change the settings in question. There should be presets for newbs. It wouldn't capture everyone, but it would definitely bring the magic of Quake to more people.

RTS's and MMO's are for racists. Paladins are for white people, the alliance are like the frontier assholes in Dances With Wolves who killed the Sioux's... you know, at the end... the chimps who were ridiculous, reckless holocausters. True or false does not matter. If you believe it, the tactic is effective. If a politician wants to win the next election, they may antagonize marijuana. When enough people are against marijuana, the politician runs their campaign on an anti-marijuana platform. There is nothing wrong with marijuana. The biggest argument against it is the 'gateway' nonsense. Everyone who makes that argument acknowledges there is nothing wrong with marijuana itself. Those people are most likely Christians who were programmed as children. As adults, their deep-seeded programming can be used to control them. The 'gateway' = the apple in the garden.

To the politician, millions of innocent people going to prison for campaign trickery is irrelevant. This is how people are controlled through the media. Of course, it's all nonsense. Some of it seems hypocritical, but none of is true enough to be hypocritical. All that matters is the antagonizing and protagonizing.

As I call starcraft racist, I can be racist myself and still manage to make Starcraft seem evil and myself seem good.

The gateway drug argument is predicated on three conditions:

1. Marijuana is in fact a gateway drug.
2. Nothing can be done to change marijuana into a non-gateway drug.
3. The gateway leads to something that should be illegal.

In the United States, marijuana laws (and all drug laws really), are unConstitutional. The 4th amendment prohibits government from unreasonable search and seizure. The 8th amendment prohibits government from excessive fining and the exacting of cruel and unusual punishments. Considering the fact any responsible person can use drugs safely, all drug laws in the United States are in conflict with the amendments mentioned above. Drugs are still illegal because the common voter is a moron, criminals pay off government workers (if drugs become legal, criminals lose their business), and politicians use the drug issue to win elections.

The whole drug war thing, and anti-drug movement, is nothing more than a witch-hunt. They used to burn witches, now they imprison drug-users. The government has never proven beyond a reasonable doubt people should be fined or imprisoned for using drugs.

They're wrong though, because only the weak-minded allow themselves to be derailed. You could ignore what i'm saying and go on with the normal thread, but you don't because you're weak.
