I love it when cpma freaks confuse their own terms..

mode != mod (= short for modification)

CPM/VQ3/PMC/DEV are gameplays, not gametypes. (see server_gameplay in cpma)
TDM/CTF/DUEL/TOURNEY/CA etc. are gametypes (see g_gametype, or "type" in mode definitions), although people typically call these modes.
Modes are sets of rules built around a gametype. (see cpma/modes)

what the hell are you talking about? vq3 cpma, or cpm cpma vs vq3 osp or what? because your post makes no sense. mode means like tdm or ctf or stuff like that. atleast learn the terminology before you try some weak troll attempt.

also just to add if you really are interested in discussing the merits and faults of 1 dead game and 1 very nearly dead game, why not use the search function and you will find copious threads on the subject back when there were people playing the games.

both modes are relatively near together in quality for people who are experienced in comparing games.
thats why the personal preferences often decides in this case which gameplay to choose:

weaponswitch, jumping, spawnhealth, armor,projectilebehavior, ammo

I used to play a lot of cpm, as I started playing online I had to learn VQ3 due to the lack of a promode community in SA, and yeah I hated it at first... but you have to realise that the two are very different, and CPM isn't just a faster version of VQ3. Vq3 is strategic, CPM is tactical. VQ3 is also alot more forgiving which makes it nicer for casual play. I can go on but you have to learn the game well before dissing it though... but at the end of the day, CPM still is 10x better :D

i think cpm is a lot more forgiving. when you play opponents of your level at least.
