*UPDATE*

fyrespray of lazeryattack.com has setup a test server (with 64slots) and hopefully tonight (Wed 19th Dec 20:00CET) we can get a good few people to help us test it out

details will be in this IRC Qnet channel

prolly mostly ctf and hopefully some ffa/dm

i guess someone will post something more official later on xD

i know q1 and q2 had some nice gigantic maps, base32 and death32 for qw, and sewer and base for q2, but i don't think q3 has any. maybe there are a few maps lurking in the stock maps that got ignored on account of being too big

what's the loc of the server? if i ping at least 150 i'd totally be down for 16v16 on aerowalk with weaponstay lol

Anything above maxplayers 32 has issues that make it a Very Bad Idea even if you can find maps that are capable of more than 16v16.

nice try, some dutch like svr ping around 10ms to lazery, germans, french average around 30, most scandis get below 50 and its much better for americans than clanpoint

the 32+ player Kineterra games ive played in the past on osp/cpma have always been extremely laggy but as its nothing to serious everyone still has a lot of fun

No, I'm saying that ever since Q3 1.32 was released MANY MANY years ago, we've leveraged some features in it that only work for maxplayers <= 32, and having more than that flat out WILL NOT work properly.

I have no idea HOW wrong things will be: it could be "harmless" in the sense that once you've got 64 players it doesn't really matter whether anything "advanced" works or not since it's going be a giant clusterfuck anyway, or it could be all kinds of bizarreness. Try it and let me know. :)
