Depends on where you live. One municipality in the Greater Reykjavík area claims to be the first in the world to be fully fiber connected and I hear there are plans to have the rest of the country done by 2011 or so.

Ping is about 60 to UK/FRA/NL. About 90 to USA I think. Haven't played much there.
