Which third party software?

Apparently, receiving more damage is an anticheat measure. That means it's not the third party software directly causing you to receive more damage, nor that receiving more damage (due to a bug or whatever reason) is why the anticheat thinks you cheated.

Also, getting caught using a third party software to cheat once = ban, no matter if you used it to watch demos (lol outbrasil), ruin a couple of matches (lol zeroql) or 100 times (lol daddy_)..

What people usually do is one of these alternatives:
a) Ask politely on IRC why were you banned, providing proof that you didn't cheat (demos, cam recordings, which third party software allegedly caused a false positive). Best case scenario is you are unbanned and helped developing a better anticheat.
b) Rage on forums thinking that will get you unbanned.
c) Circumvent the ban and keep playing happily. It means losing the subscription and your interwebz reputation will be hurt in the process, though just a bit since it's a different nickname and in public servers no one knows you circumvented the ban and kept playing.
d) Circumvent the ban, try to "destroy the game" by writing crap on internet forums and start cheating for the first time.
e) For banned cheaters, circumvent the ban and keep on cheating. Get caught, repeat until the end of time or as long as your pc knowledge allows you to (ip, mac, hwid, wide ranges of ips, etc.).
f) Befriend the game's developer (only two of them), get officially unbanned by syncerror but your reputation will be lost so no good player will play with you (zeroql's case. This is where the 'make a fragmovie' expression comes from).

indeed ur right. netcode malfunctioning or he did get railed from somewhere else outside his pov. but it sure aint the first time something isnt registering properly.

roflmao. that's not a bug, dumbass, it's a thing they implemented where, as soon as they detect you have a cheat loaded/injected, you get /handicap 50 (after f3, not in warmup). u actually reported this to them as a bug and got banned? hahaha

I am not using any third party software except for qlprism. i tried sending the demos but don't think any of those guys actually took the time to watch it. the same thing happened about two weeks before, only once in a duel game and never after that again, surely if they picked up something strange my handicap would always be 50 after that game. that wasn't the case, only weeks after that it happened again and that was in ca. after that game was finished, we tested it on the next map, in warm-up and it did the same thing, I have many guys that can confirm this. when I exited the game and game back in, it was fine. only after I reported the bug (according to me) they banned me. I am still playing on the same cfg and still not being banned.

Ok this has been happening to me aswel for the last 2 months now, it even got so bad the syncerror join the current game i was playing about 2 weeks agi and had a chat with me.

After my chat with syncerror i see that this 50% handicap this is not a cheat, what happens is when the servers detect you as cheating it gives you this 50% handicap, this is obviously a way to flag you as a "hacker".

My pro account has now been banned and every single account i make is also being banned, some are banned right away and some are banned only a week later.

My girlfriend and i play from my place, and every now and then in game i get these insane spikes. i never clicked. BUT last week she was sitting next to me playing her quake match and i was playing mine when these insane spikes started again. it felt like my whole PC was laggin and i just thought it was my ISP being full of crap, but then i looked at her screen and on her lagometer she was flat, 19 ms and i was sitting at over 999ms.

and it wasnt a constant 999 it it lasted about 10 seconds or so and it looked really messed up because it was 999 then 19 then 999 then back to 19.

Then shortly after that i had the handicap again, thats when i knew i was going to be banned again.

BUT then i realised that i only receive a handicap in the games that these abnormal spikes appear. then shortly after that my account is banned again.

I was doing some research about what could be causing these type of spikes. and i came across an interesting article that states some gaming mice being used at 1000mz polling rate can cause the CPU to spike, so that got me thinking

"is it possible that a faulty mouse of badly coded software could be causing these abnormal CPU spikes and registering as a player using hax on the ID software systems.???"

i do not know much about hardware, so this is something a hardware familiar person should look into.

I am currently doing my research on this to try pin point the problem. because atm it seems that the problem is only appearing on my pc.

I am currently using a Coolmaster sentinel Mouse and someone else in our community got banned for the same thing. and he uses the same mouse i do.

Maybe the problem is mouse related i do not know,

Can someone pls confirm if they have been having the same issues i have....specially about these abnormal spikes i get.

Maybe this is an issue ID Software does not know about, and since we as players cannot proved to them that we do not hack or that they cannot provide evidence of what we are being accused of.

Maybe this could all be related to a hardware fault????

I am getting a new mouse next week to see if that clears the issue, if that does not. i will be getting a new pc.

after a new pc, i will be looking at hardware external to my pc box, such as the hub i am using to connect to my router. cabling and even my router.

we need to try work as a community to find what is causing these false alerts.

Oh well I am using g9x and g9 at home, not shitmouse,,, never had insane spikes, and still I was banned.
