Nah, I really enjoy the Beard's casts; he never rants and talks about asides, he is always relevant, consistent and absolutely no arrogance (hello slasher).

You have to remember that he will have an audience who are not familiar to QL as well, who are checking out zotacs out of curiosity due to watching his casts in other games; couldn't think of a better caster for that role, personally.

The other thing I really like about his casts is he approaches it like a radio show; when there is no live game, there is some analysis about the matches just played, what is coming up; big names playing/getting knocked out early, and having some fitting background music too.

I just have the stream on when I'm studying, listening to it like a radio until a game is on.

It is not really a lame excuse if you get criticised so strongly for the work you do. Its not exactly motivating to spend your own time trying to improve the coverage of a game, only to have your work ripped to shreds.

Luckily issue is a positive individual and can rise above some of the abuse he received, taking the positive comments and learning from the constructive. But most people would not wake up on a Sunday and be itching to get on air and stir up some more flame would they?

As I said there was already 6 streams this weekend so we really wouldn't be needed. The Zotac cups are like that now, a one stop shop for any aspiring streamer to commit to for a few months before things become boring. If issue or nvc were available for these cups and a streamer as well then we would cover them if required, but there really is no reason when you already have perfectly good streams running that people have no complaints about.

Zotac was never really a cup we covered much anyway, it was forecasts baby, and the reason we stream is not to personally benefit it is simply to provide a video stream to games that would otherwise not be seen. Our aim is to improve the experience with what we hope is a good standard of commentary and decent video quality to boot. We love the game and do it for fun, not for self promotion or the idea that it will make us any money. This is why we have been around the longest and have no intention of stopping, but also the reason we will not fight over viewer numbers for the sake of it.

I'm curious to know who's in charge of this service on a Sunday early morning (read: Sunday afternoon in Europe = the time euros want to play) when your product is something more or less worldwide - lets agree on occidental/japan/maybe korean. It took a while to have them figure out what the problem is, it's not the first time nor the last time. It happened during big LAN events (not in USA obviously). People who paid for pro or premium don't really have any voice when id is sleeping.

This guy puts it in sync's face, because he's in the dark... I feel the same... But I don't think it's the major problem. For now, my main criticism is this system is too centralized: one slight problem and everything is fucked.
