After already having beaten Metsu in the Winner Bracket, were you confident that you would beat them again?

Belgium OK|dem0n: Of course we were. But we don't take everything for granted each time... I did feel like we under-estimated them a bit in the beginning and it showed on the first map. After thinking about it, we were SO close to lose this 0-2... I'm glad we didn't though, wp metsu :)

During the match you seemed quite tense, calling bullshit in chat a few times. Were you annoyed to a degree that it affected your play or was everything fine?

Belgium OK|dem0n: Heh, well honestly I don't remember what I said exactly... But whining is just a reflex from me I can't help it, I just need to expose my feelings somehow after what I consider some fight went completely wrong. I don't mean to offend anyone when doing that though. It doesn't really affect my play, because I always do that :D...

Lets talk about the grand final against 4k.
On the deciding map, dm14 you were behind 30 frags after 15min, did you still believe it was possible to come back? what was going through your mind when you decided to take the double powerup?

Belgium OK|dem0n: I didn't really realize the score gap at that point, I only really started paying attention to the clock at around 17:30, and I saw it was a 20-25 frags game. At this point I felt like 4K was losing control and I just thought hell, this is still possible if we manage to get a good quad run. I remember then I played with the spawn system and made 3 4K spawn and get raped in a row.
When the double powerup run started, I had an eye on the score and thought that, if I can be lucky enough to run into them, it remains possible. Unfortunately the clock was too tight and it didn't turn out like that. Still happy we could reduce significantly the score line though and make it look more decent :)

4k dominated you on deep inside while they seemed inferior on dm6. would you say that this is due to the style of these two teams or was it just the way it happened?
Belgium OK|dem0n: Our tactics never worked and we never really changed our gamestyle. I guess this is the kind of issue you could blame on the relentless playing we had ? Anyway we never seemed to learn from our mistakes and that was bad. I expect us to do much better than that the next times we get to play on this map.

You played eight 20 minute matches tonight, was exhaustion playing a role?
Belgium OK|dem0n: Well, after so many maps and playing non stop (we remained on the same server from 20cet to 00cet), I can tell you you start to play a bit less focused. Don't think it affected THAT much the game because afterall, in compensation we had a great amount of 'warmup' with this process. On deep inside, frankly, it took us 2 maps to realize that what we were trying to do was completely wrong.

The ESL EMS 7 Playoffs are still running and alpha is already in the lower bracket, what are your goals and what teams do you expect to meet in the finals?
Belgium OK|dem0n: Yeah, we did have a pretty bad seeding if you ask me. Although in ESL we don't have spart1e so it can be somewhat justified. But even without spart1e we still had a pretty close bo3 against [R] (5 frags made the difference). Our goal right now is to reach the TOP4 by beating bf, which I believe isn't an impossible task if we stay focused. Then whatever happens, we will either face fnatic or 4K...
Hopefully fnatic beats 4K somehow, because I would feel much more confident going into a game against the typically unorganised fnatic. After all, they did lose to [R]! But right now, we keep our eyes on bf and nothing else matters really, anything can happen!

Dreamhack Summer could possibly be the first TDM Lan tournament in years, are you looking forward to it? Would you/alpha compete in it?
Belgium OK|dem0n: I am definitely looking forward to it, but hopefully not as a spectator. For me DHS is always a last-minute question whether I can attend or not, since I precisely get my exam session typically from may 20th to June 20th approximately... I guess I would compete in it of course, if not with alpha, with anyone else! But I think spart1e would play with fnatic and madix with dignitas or smth...

What do you think about the current state of QL TDM, does it have a competitive future?
Belgium OK|dem0n: Hmm. Depends on QuakeLive and ID themselves. TDM can definitely become much bigger than it currently is and I'm looking forward to it... DHS with TDM might be a nice trigger though.

You recently changed Duel Teams and or now playing for OK together with Guard, are you happy with the new Team so far? Can we expect you at all the big upcoming LAN events?
Belgium OK|dem0n: Yes I've recently made a move to Online Kingdom. So far they've been very nice with me and I'm pretty excited with it. OK is a very young organisation but they have a very serious look on things and they are very professional. I'm looking forward to attend events in their name and hopefully I can soon show better performances than in the past. You can expect me at all the big European events, if I can attend them, of course.

That's it, thank you for your time and congratulations on your 2nd place! Any last words
Belgium OK|dem0n: Yeah, I wanna thank all the people that still believe QL has a chance (especially in TDM) and especially all these people that really work their ass off for free and for the entertainment of others: lvluptv, hstv, thebeardtv, esr admins & items posters (hi nukm :D), league admins (perpetualwar, jaz, etc.), video makers (sorry for whining at you zeroql:D your movies are awesome) and all the people who Ive forgot right now... HUP QL HUP !
