Clanbase CTF NationsCup has ended with the final rankings:

1. France
2. Germany
3. Netherlands
4. Finland

Since the cup went smooth and with a lot of interest from the community, we were thinking about finishing this awesome season with an all-star match. The idea is to present best nations from this season (as you can see above), with their first teams (where it was possible) and to let all of you guys vote for 2 players from each nation. That would give us 8 players to be chosen ones for this match. After that two captains are selected between players ( with admin help if needed) and they pick-up rest of the 6 players from the list. That should give us best of the best from this NC CTF cup.

CTF All-star match is scheduled for 14:00 CDT, 16 May 2010 and voting period is closing 14:00 CDT, 9 May 2010. Coverage will be done by holysh1t.tv as usual. For nominated players see the link below.

Quake Live NationsCups on ClanBase are coming to end, but we still have a few awesome matches to look forward to. The TDM final

Poland and the Bronze final

Serbia vs

UK will get delayed until the next week. But tonight we got the CTF Final between

Germany and

France at 14:00 CDT in a game that could represent revenge for Team France's lost game vs Germany in the group stage.

The game will be streamed by holysh1t.tv with a few surprises from their side, so be sure to log in before the game starts.

So, the day of days has come upon us where great Nations face each other in brutal warfare and mind blowing tactics in a fast pace game where there is no place for lone warriors but strong bonds of team play. This is very busy week with a lot of games ahead of us with CB NC CTF matches in this week and one CB NC TDM match left from the last week.

CTF is in the finals with

Germany - France

fighting for Gold and

Netherlands - Finland

for Bronze, while TDM is in the semifinals yet with

France waiting winner from the

United Kingdom - Poland

match, and

Serbia waiting loser from the same match for Bronze Finals.

Also we got a CB OC TDM starting this week with a lot of matches already scheduled and one more qualifier to be played for CB EC Duel after which the groups will be published.

Maybe worth mentioning is the fact that for this year of CB EC Duel competition we got some prizes to give away, provided by our sponsor Steelseries:

The first round in the playoff of the CB NC QL CTF is finished and the semi-finalists are already known. In the TDM NC, two quarter-finals will be played this week, while the other two semi-finalists will be waiting for their next opponents. Here is the schedule for the coming week:

First Quake Live CTF NC playoff week started today with awesome matches ahead of us. Look at the Playoff tree and Roster for more details.
Also important thing to mention is that in Quake Live TDM NC only one match more needs to be played between

Slovakia and

Poland in the group stage before the start of playoffs next week.
Unfortunately, there will be no additional time for scheduling playoff matches like there was for CTF NC, which means that playoffs start next week and all challenging must be done in this week.

Placement for the finals in CTF cup are almost determined with only

Hungary and

Poland yet to be played for the second spot in Group B and place in the playoffs. TDM cup is still completely opened since 3 teams from the groups advances, so real fight begins in this week.
Unfortunately, after forfeiting matches twice, teams

Belgium and

Switzerland dropped the TDM cup.

Serbia fights

UK and interesting to see if they could beat them in CTF as they did in TDM yesterday. And we also got

We are at middle of the group stage with 3rd week ahead of us.

Reminder to all captains to post the scores on Cup forum, if the admin or referee is not there for your match.

Second week of the ClanBase NationsCup has started so you can find schedule down here. Few matches from the last week are rescheduled for this week, like Finland vs Switzerland in CTF and Germany vs Switzerland in TDM where Switzerland took the wildcards for both games.

Quake Live groups for CB NC CTF and TDM were announced yesterday. Since there has been some delay for a few days, first match week will start Mon 8 February, so all captains should schedule their matches by the end of the week.

Yesterday ClanBase just announced their new Nation Cups XIII Season. This 13th season will feature 16 cups over 12 games with 5 cups dedicated to the Unreal Tournament series, and 3 to the Quake series (make it 4 if you consider Urban Terror is part of Quake). You can already apply as captain, the sign-ups will close on Thursday 31st December. The very first matches are expected to be played on Monday 13th January 2010 with the qualifiers.

Note that the ClanBase QL TDM NationsCup will take place as the same time as the QuakeQuickCup QL TDM NationsCup which also starts on January, the 4th to be exact. We're almost back to Christmas four times a year!
