Looking for a new mouse. 3310 or 3366? (7 comments)

Hello, been a long time since I have posted anything here. I have an FK that I use at the 450CPI setting (I know it is interpolated) and I really like the mouse. The only improvement I could see being done to the mouse is having lighter switches but that probably is not going to happen.

I play games very competitively and compete in tourneys so I would like to get the best performing mouse possible. Right now I am debating getting the FK1 or Roccat Kone Pure Military. I am not sure if it would be worth waiting for the 3366 to come out though as well. I know that the 3366 is going to offer higher perfect control speeds (however I barely hit the perfect control speed of my FK anyway), and will have higher FPS with less smoothing. Again though, I don't really notice smoothing on my FK either. I've never owned a mouse with less smoothing that the FK so I cannot notice smoothing on the FK without having used a mouse with no smoothing to begin with, you know?

Basically I really like light, ambidexterous mice, but I am not sure what I should do here.

BST's mouse is also on the table but I don't know if there is really a point in getting a second 3090 sensor when I already quite like my FK. Although his mouse does have the switches and weight that I would like. I also think that he might be releasing a 3310 model in the future which I would really like to buy. I hope that he decides to use a 3366 sensor though since the 3310 is already all over the market. He could be one of the first with the 3366.

Anyway, all rambling aside...

What are some great mice out there with a light, ambidextrous design, and amazing sensor? I'm debating the Kone Pure Military, Ninox Aurora, or Zowie FK1. Either that or I could wait for the 3366.

What have you owned and how did you like it?

Zowie G-TF Speed vs Original (7 comments)

So has anyone tried both of these mouse pads? How does each compare to each other and the 9HD or Artisan Kai 3g HIEN hard pad? I am asking because I want something that isn't as slick as the 9HD and with more comfort. The 9HD is not comfy at all around the edges and its size is rather small.

I also have an Artisan Kai 3g HIEN hard pad if anyone can compare the G-TF and the G-TF Speed to that mousepad it would also help out a ton.

I am thinking of getting one or the other but I am unsure of exactly how fast the speed version is or how soft the pads are. Been using a 9HD for a while now and it is just too slick. It was nice at first but it is starting to get on my nerves and I figure it is time for a change.

Thanks for any replies of course!

Hey, I am sorry for making a thread that you guys see everyday I am sure but I just want to get some more personalized help from people in selecting a second mouse.

I already own the Xai which I thought would have been the end of my mice buying days but since I have stumbled onto this site I thought that I would ask the experts what they think the best mouse for me might be.

Cutting to the chase. I have very large hands (middle finger is 3.75in. long and it is a little over 8in. from my wrist to the end of my middle finger) and use a fingertip grip for my mouse. I play SC2 at 1890DPI and I have never played a shooter on the computer before but I plan to play a lot of BF3 when it comes out. Optical/Laser does not matter to me so long as the mouse works very well. I really like having 2 thumb buttons to use for SC2, but for an FPS I think I can live without them. So maybe I will keep my Xai for SC2 and buy another mouse for BF3. Have not yet decided.

So what is/are some of the best mice for me to be looking at? What DPI should I use for BF3 when it comes out to be sure that I play my best? I dont have a ton of room using an artisan kai medium mousepad. It is about as large as a 9HD but I am sure you all know that already.
