I don't understand what's the problem with you. Let me reveal this magic law of Universe for you: if you made VODs, that doesn't prohibit you from uploading demos as well. Demos are 1000 times better than VODs because they run at 125 fps and at any resolution and at any HUD and graphics settings I find comfortable (and let me mention, I don't find your VOD gfx/hud/sound settings comfortable at all), if you have time to record VODs from all demos, then surely you will find a little bit of time to click "Contribute" button and upload the demos as well. Tell me even a single reason, why not?

I do not create the VODs. Fi does, and Fi spends many hours on this seemingly ungrateful task. I myself really don't have the time to make VODs, because i have a more than fulltime job and spend whatever spare time i have on working on the tournament website.

Now you show up, simply demanding me to distribute a shitload of demo's, especially for you. The first thing i think then is something like "lol, go fuck yourself you ungratefull little spoiled bitch", but seemingly you you really feel you are entitled to them.

To still provide the thankful community with coverage, Fi spends many hours on generating VODs. I spend many hours on getting the VODs and the coverage available through our website.

So no, i really, really can't be arsed to spend a few more hours each week distributing the collection of demo's that each tournament generated. Especially not for someone that puts up a tone like you do.

Fi's opinions about demo distribution differs from mine. And since she is providing all of us this insanely nice service, i am thankful for it. Fi does not want to redistribute demo's after she's processed them: with all the work she is delivering for us I can't do nothing else but respect that.

So that leaves you, my dear claiming leecher, with two options: 1) WATCH THE FUCKING VODS, 2) FUCKING ASK THE PLAYER IN QUESTION.

I am not demanding, I am asking you. And it's not just for me. Show me even one person outside of your clan who is against demos to be uploaded. You see already in this post that other people want demos too.

Why reinvent the wheel? Just use ESReality demo section to host them, it's where people expect demos to be, not on some other site. Also, your own hosting won't probably last very long (even ESL as one of the biggest esports companies wasn't able to host their IEM season 4 demos longer than 1 year).

And the result of that is unsatisfied community. But instead of spending hours, Fi could spend just about 30 minutes to upload demos and make people happy.

Okay, let me see if I understand this right: the tournament demos will not be uploaded because one of the admins simply does not want to distribute them? Just that, "does not want to"? That's the whole reason? I.e. you basically say, "Fuck you community, all your demos are belong to us, bwahahahhaa!!!"?

I asked tourney admins about demos several times before, and every time the reply was completely illogical and didn't have ANY reasoning, why you can't share the demos with everyone. You are acting like you are specifically making effort to keep them away from us.
I agree with p4r4 above that HUD you use in VODs is confusing, and I'd prefer to watch those games with my own HUD that I like. And VODs from first tournaments don't have any kill notifications, so it's also very hard to understand what happened in some heavy battles.
VODs are not demos, and they don't replace demos. Why are you so stubborn in preventing people to fully enjoy your tournament's games?
