Well there are roughly 52 zotac cups per year and season consists of a year so I suppose the new season started on the 53# zotac cup.

BeardTV, strenx is in the lead of this zotac season that's going on right now, with 11 wins just so far. Your co-caster is talking about last year as a year, because the zotac season just started kind of recently. So strenx made much more than 400 euros from zotac in 2010, but 400 is just how much he's made in this season, which is not the same as in the year 2010.

I suppose you could argue a radar or a wallhack could be useful, but pavel was rushing to those areas before madix had even spawned; as you said, there is no hack for spawns.

It's interesting that because one player (demon iirc) shouts cheat, any good shot pavel hits, his opponent screams HAAAAAXXXX!!!!11!!!

Strenx and K1llsen look more dodgy than this guy...

yeah, I know the shot you mean; the only thing I saw that could be argued to be "dodgy"

K1llsen pulls that sort of stuff out all the time, some of Z4's rails against dkt were like that.

One ridiculous rail a game is not out of the ordinary imo, what ping is pavel playing with; still 120? I can't see the ping on the stream (small netbook screen :(( )

that particular rail was not very ridiculous imo.
the only difficulty about it was that there was only a very small part of madix visible but it is obvious where he would be and he had plenty of time to line up the shot, just a bit lucky nothing more.

if anything some flickrails previous to that were pretty sick!

He was dropping from RA or GL though, and jumping at the same time towards mega, so he had no time to line it up :)

But he's probably done that shot a 100 times so meh :)

Hmm... To me it looked like pavel came out rushing to mega and shot madix instantly, I didn't even see madix's model, but it could've been stream lagging or something. I would like to see that replayed on demo.

What comes to general pavel railing, the guy hits sick rails constantly and I really feel the frustration of his opponents. Is he fairly new to the scene? Sorry at least I had never heard of him until a while ago. Seems pretty talented.

not the players fault it seemed, but his account still got banned, as did CNY's...

As far as I know, pavel_ = kook and toootooo = CNY

Really sucks for them as they are really good players who are great to watch, shame :(

nothing wrong with that. miracles dont happen in quake - the learning curve is next to nil in this game, people dont get better all of the sudden and most of us can tell placings of lan events before. in a game where strenx has "improved has game alot" because he now places 3rd/4th instead of 5th/6th and top10 players stermy/k1llsen make people say stuff about a new era of aim quake because they placed top5 once!...

well lets just say there are no darkhorses in this game than can pull of unexpected wins. i can see why a good performance may raise an eyebrow - not saying that its justified in pavels case tho. im sure hes good and does nolife enough to pull something off

What was his ping? Couldn't see on the stream :(

Out of curiousity, how many people feel the same way as you and demon, is it many or a few?

What do you think he is using if he does hack; aimbot, wallhack etc?

Would be good to hear your view on this having just played him :)

He had 30 today and I had 45. Last zotac when I barely won he had 100 ping and I had 28. He hit insane rails from all angles that time which almost made me lose despite having full control all the time.

fazz and baker who both played him today experienced odd stuff and both told me that they also felt that he does some fishy stuff.

I dunno... I guess we have to wait for him to send in some screenshots or something :P hrhr

Why did strenx have to play with agent when he lost to firebot 2-1 , but in the brackets the result is 2-1 strenx won ? But in quakelive profile strenx lost two times?

Sadly I have to defend Strenx today and confirm that numericable had really terrible issues sunday (it often does in fact).
It's not true fiber optic, it's FTTLA, which is one the reasons why it's so unreliable.

Not saying pavel cheats, but he acts oddly and is an unpleasant player to play against, much like agent is.

He does hit weird shots a lot and it doesn't change from 40 ms to 90. But I don't wanna get involved into these convo's anymore again.

I had a pretty close fight on equal pings (by equal, i mean he had less than he is used to and i had much more than i'm used to) and the game was the closest i've played in a while, and i'm not exactly cypher's level... So if he cheats, he isn't still all that.

He's just another good player, and that's good for everyone and quakelive.

But I still don't like the guy. I knew ice cubes more friendly than he is in my fridge.
