I mean jesus Christ, do you ever go on reddit? It makes me so nauseous, 90% of the comments so bad, and people just pile on and smother each other with excrements pretending it's chocolate.
One of the reasons this site went downhill is lack of content, and the unenthusiastic audience response. AI doesn't have this problem. I've been thinking about running some queries to pull some interesting news and update the site a bit more. If I can get this to work, I would probably read it myself, as well.
Kind of the same, QL is still my favorite. However, I still want to know whats going on, in the esports, and to watch *some* games sometimes. But, there is actually quake/fps stuff going on, and its going completely uncovered on ESR now.
Just get some interviews with the old FPS pros and get them to join the thread and answer questions if they are willing, would be fun to read what gamers are upto who used to have mad skills. Or even ESR trolls, not me cos I still post.
The core part of the site is quake/ESR, whle players stop playing quake, they can't forget all those hours they put into playing and talking shit on ESR!
So digging that up seems like an obvious call to action to me.
Most of us are kinda getting old now.
I remember this guy on ESR who was 48 when I was 22 and I was like "you're old" cos I was a little punk, and now I'm 48 and I'm like Arghhhhh!!!!
Even the assholes who used to be ageist to me are now pushing 40!
Yeah, I feel a lot of nostalgia about those days. I don't mind being in the 40s, with the things it brings, but, I feel like I'm extremely lucky to have had as much fun as I had, and it's great to peek at these memory every now and then.
