actually dreg they are not at all similar to the russian crew, russia has at LEAST 20 good players (i reckon there are proll y over 50 easily), all of which are capable of beating each other, look evil recently won a tourney, and keeper almost won another, and lexer was taken out by dept, usa only really has those 5 players that are great :P europe/russia > usa... just go spec on some russian servers you'll see skillz:P

This is mostly due to the great ping/connections and the closeness of the population making it easy to lan. Actually I would know since i have been to europe and seen the lan centers there and the amount of people playing in general compared to the size of the population. Hitting a 130 pinger with -100 nudge has to be realy fucked up i gues, i never played against some1 using such a high nudge.

So basicly that demo says nothing about the skill niveau of any country, it was just a fun game that none of the players took very sirious.

-20 is max on a pb server.

users don't skip at all with timenudge. timenudge is a clientside command it doesn't affect how others see you at all. plus, if i'm not mistaken, nudge is internally capped in q3/osp even if you vote to have nudgecaps removed in osp. also, there is only 50 ms lag (i believe) and all nudge does is remove that for the client so -100 tn would be the same as -50. this doesn't even take into account the fact that arqon made the statement that timenudge doesn't really work anymore. either way timenudge only affects the person using it. for those of you who think it's a hack or makes another player harder to hit get over yourselves and stop blaming others for missing shots or your lack of aim (this is directed to no one in particular). i don't really have a comment on the game like "europe > america" except that fox and gopher played well with their ping regardless of how out of practice bloodshot and spook are.

i meant to say 50 ms lag built in to q3, which is unrelated to ping. i could be wrong about the timenudge stuff, but i did get the information from a pretty informative article (i can't remember where) so don't shoot the messanger. it would be nice if someone could clear all the stuff up about timenudge so it can be settled once and for all.
