Serious question as an anon user...I've been seeing the whole Sanchez saga ever since we had the memes start in some year in 2011 or so against his apprentice ShadowMaster or whatever the hell it was.

I'm honestly surprised because the first time I heard of God of War I thought it was just someone memeing about the deadest quake game.

I know a lot of people hoenstly want that guy banned because it goes beyond trolling now, it's just toxic behavior, and we've seen him now meme on newer communities (I guess with cheats, some say without cheats, who knows), getting VAC banned, cheating (or maybe being reported) on Quake Champions. Honestly I don't care about all that, I find the forum spam more annoying.

But I must say, for a Russian player who probably doesn't have the best English, he creates a lot of English posts (this isn't the easiest thing for East Europeans to capably do even with Google translate because translators and interpreters online suck really bad, Look at how Kevlark talks). So I give him credit for appearing to be litererate or somewhat literate as a Russian player of English.

And most of all, I give him credit for his persistence with Quake 4. Because honestly I thought he was memeing about that game years ago because it was more dead than any Quake game or even Doom II. You had like a ton of Quake 3 servers with bots but a lot of dedicated players playing all the different mods and even to this day on vanilla server. An extremely tight knit Quake II community that even has its own Quake 2 Jump (race) mod nowadays, QuakeWorld, I mean it speaks for itself, and Quake 4 was like this bastard child every single person abandoned and had the lowest Steam count and most people didn't even know how to patch it or get the right mods on it correctly.

I've loved certain multiplayer games that maybe aren't as popular in the arena FPS genres or other genres and I've legitimately given up on them. Sometimes the community was too small and had some assholes running it, sometimes there just wasn't enough competition (it sucks to be the best at something knowing you would be a total noob if it was more popular), and other challenges.

I admire how passionate you are all of you in Russia playing quake4.

As QC and DBT steals Qlive playerbase we will soon catch up with it.

Also the harder gameruleset, q4 is a much harder game to master, with a much higher skill ceiling. Top pro in Qlive will only be like early stage expert level in q4, i.e. someone in the middle of the path to the greatness.

Overall it will much easier to become top 3 ladder in Qlive or to get to top 3 QPL league, then to take 5 frags in a serious duel vs someone like Sanchez on 0.1% power.

Sanchez is the meme fakenick/character for some western EU player. Maybe they moved to Russia, but doubtful they are actually Russian.
