For anyone interested, there's a small but regular Australian/nz community playing Quake 2.
We have a web page and dedicated servers running. The last month or so has seen several rounds of TDM and smaller game types and we're hoping to keep that going. So if anyone's keen to try some Quake 2 or even become a regular, come visit us over at irc: Quakenet #nein (temporary) and our webpage http://www.ozquake2.com/
All you need to get started is to download the installer and follow the guides on our site.
