Hello Quakers! I'd like to personally apologize to sulitdaniel and all who were effected by the drama on stream. With our current staff of 1 host and 2 admins, we were scrambling to manage all 16 players and there were a few mistakes made. We had a 'no specs' policy enforced on all matches, so when we saw Daniel in the server (albiet we saw him after 1 map had already passed) we asked him to leave due to this policy. After a brief period of non-compliance, Rob (kflx) was forced to kick him because Erica and I had not been given admin on the server. This kept the 'no specs' ruling equal across and board and fair to everyone.
For now, Rob has created an event that we're all enjoying, and he'd like to be in charge of the streaming as well. If you'd like to stream your own games, you're more than welcome; but our no specs policy will stay in place. Thank you for your understanding, and see you next week!

How does a NA Quake Person not realize that sulit is a streamer lol? I mean cmon the entire communtiy is like 50 people large and hes been doing it for years now with www.duelcraft.net ...

His streaming, although noted and dealt with in my post, was a non-factor in how we handled the situation. We had enforced a no specs, no nonsense policy. I'm sorry it wasn't made clear to everyone, but this will be dealt with in the future by running everyone through the rules right after check-in.
Please bear with us during these first few events, as we're still figuring things out. :)

Look, there's not another weekly cup in NA that offers a prize.
Sure there's faceit, but no one plays in it, and it's not casted. This is something I'm trying to offer to the community, with the support from iD software.
I want to see the NA scene grow, not parish, just like everyone else here in the NA quakelive scene. (or what's left of it anyways) If someone else would like to step up and create an entire weekly open duel cup, then do it.

Until then, this the the step it up cup, there are rules, everyone needs to abide by them.

Last time this is going to be discussed.

1 week pro is quite a small prize, not something you should be bragging about giving away. you're saying it as if you're giving out like $50 everyweek which you aren't (support from idsoftware, can't be at your expense then).

Rob is relaunching the event after a brief break. New administrative staff means a slightly different touch on how things are dealt with. This upcoming week (week 2) will be our final test run, and by the 3rd week we should have a solid procedure in place.
