I was told by 12 that the map pool was changed in the draft cup to be the same as the pro cup. I was told this yesterday and was super confused because there was no info.

Now you update the post for the draft and it's still the old map pool..

The team size seem to be 4 on the faceit site, I want to add a 5th reserve player but i am unable to. Is this working as intended or is it allowed to add a reserve 5th player?

If you make a premade team you can add up to twelve members. When you sign-up for the tournament, select your main line-up. We won't make an issue if you want to change one player in the cup.

I'd like to share an interesting point.

The other day I was watching FACEIT sunday duel cup with my father, and the first thing he said after listening to ins was:

"Damn that kid needs to stop jacking off"

He meant that as an observation, he said that kids who masturbate several times a day but get no sex whatsoever (eg: NERDS (eg:INS)) tend to have a very loose torso and throat, hence their constant ivejustgotoutofbed-speech, which is so fucking annoying and brings the level of the FACEIT stream so down it's heartbreaking.

So why not hire someone a bit more professional/knowledgeable/decent and energetic rather than Ins?

If you're going to stick to ins, then at least make him sign a contract where he's legally obliged to masturbate no more than 2-3 times per week, then start asking people whether they see any improvement.

We've solved the problem with ddk and ZeroQL. Ins is still work in progress.

I am aware people dislike him because of his cheating history. I hope they do appreciate the fact that he is the one that makes every Sunday cup stream possible, as well as the fact that he has brought them hours of entertainment through his videos.

For the longest time I thought duel players are overrating when it comes to map pools, then I took a quick peek to the CTF community.

CTF in QL is shit mainly because of the people that play it.

partly true, the ctf crowd is strictly divided and absolutely intolerant towards maps. it really is a miracly that there havent people been killed over ironworks yet. if everyone would start being less a dick and only played the maps they don't like CTF would be way more succesful. but that's only one reason for the miserable state, also if you are new or lower skilled you will be insulted and asked to leave pretty quickly.However it is the best mod, go to hell newfag :3

That's exactly what I was trying to say - the gametype itself maybe isn't that bad, people playing it make it bad. What's astonishing is that even CTF players are self-aware, you're a good example.

ironworks is the shittiest map Ive ever played in ctf, it's a constant lg cess in the middle with railhoes camping and then if that wasnt enough, you have basically two basedefs stacked to the roof. If by any chance you manage to steal a red, you'll still die like a scrub.

This map flows like my grandma on eminem's biggest hits.

But I still play it during clanwars. I just make sure my vomitbucket is ready and empty before readying up.

this ctf is supposed to be like div2 ctf cup and for draft team / low skill players who's got no team, so they would just singup alone, and site would create ''proper'' teams.
anyway, guys like gohann, phoenix, pyton, vampir, nood, fulgore and some others are obviously not entirely belong to the ''theme'' of the cup. for them imho there is next ctf cup, in a week from now.

well plus, site ranking on ctf is somehow seems fishy for me :)... apart from this, i dunno what else can be considered drama

FaceIt admins:
1) Announced tier 6 DRAFT CTF cup with money prize
2) made tiers based on duel elo
3) restricted the teams by average team tier <6

top CTF players
1) are shit at duel so their duel elo is low and they got low tier on faceit
2) joined 2 teams
3) raped other teams 8-0 in 10 minutes

Solo probably did "fuck all" for you because there weren't any other players left. I did it myself and it worked fine.

We'll take all feedback into consideration if we'll do another CTF cup - as long as the feedback was actually constructive. It's what helped us get duel where it is now, so hopefully CTF players / viewers will help us as well.

Cypher, Evil and dudes got duel where it is now.

The players also did their share and we are grateful that they show up to our cups every week and entertain our viewers.

Thanks for arranging some faceit CTF, very appreciated from the CTF players. It's a shame though that we had 2 div1 teams in a div2 tournament.

I hope that faceit will implement more CTF tournaments/seasons/ladders in the future, and that if this kind of tournament happens again it will be easier to determine if anybody is able to play the cup or not.

Despite the whinez and shit, the cup was fun to watch! That last millisecond tie on the last map was CRAZY!

Also ddk's and ins' noobie cast was hilariously funny, but please get a proper CTF caster for the pro cup, like Zoot, calipt or GreasedScotsman.

Besides all the rage i was spreading about this so far ofc im grateful faceit now also shows ctf. Next time just pls no:
- div 1 player in div 2 cup
- rules changeing 1 day before the cup starts
- casters that miss every 2nd cap and actually lack major ctf knowledge

Btw just imo the winners this week should donate their prizemoney for the next draftcup if they were fairsportsman

FACEIT Draft Cup was a name we took from a different stand point. As in the NBA Draft, it is a place where young talent has a place to get to the big boys. This was our idea and nothing to do with joining the cup without a team. We should have communicated this better.

I still dont get the point of the lvl 6 restriction.
Why not 1 pro 2 mid 1 nub (or semiliar) like a usual draft?
It's also more attractive to watch if a 'pro' is in the team.

crap imo, i mean there are still clans arround that aren't div 1 and they want to play as a team(12,z1s,qplet,impressive,efix aso.), why not give these teams a chance to play a cup? And imo its still nice to watch if u got just mid or lower skilled ppl along as u keep teams equal. But Python and Phoenix, gohann aso. completely fuck it up with their lack of sportsmanship just to get 25$.....sad really sad
