We can now enjoy watching the score counter go up and down on the match browser, on a static thumbnail! Woohoo!

Today's update brings improvements to our ability to support LAN events, and in particular to support more than one LAN event at any given time.

An additional bonus to this new support is that now when LAN events are actively running, players outside of the event will have the option on their match browser of selecting from 'LAN Events' on their Location filter. This will allow you to view match thumbnails and scoreboxes for these matches as they occur. We have a few events running at the end of this month, we hope you enjoy following the scores of these LAN matches live.

Whenever a game has finished the demo is automatically uploaded to ftp.idsoftware.com/demos , so in the event of crappy streams or none at all, it should be possible to get the demos within 60 seconds of the each game ending and watch them in the best possible way.

Add a DEMOS section to the webpage, with a simple FTP listing of the latest files that have been uploaded.

Effective
Little bandwidth and ensures games are seen in the best possible way straight after they have finished?

i never get this "real world merits" comment. This is totally based on your view of what makes a "life" or "merit". Probably based on some society view of what makes a persons life of some value. But that is not really absolute. If you need these things to put value to your own life and then judge others based off that , well then your life hangs on the balance of such things and really means nothing as all those things like money, accomplishments could be taken away instantly. I know society says money money money good job blah blah blah but true happiness isn't something that can be bought. Maybe the kid finds happiness on the computer and in video games and its honest happiness.

This is true when a certain life style is an educated choice, based on real experience. Usually though you find people gone after the one particular style just because it was the most convenient way to avoid their fears. And when you talk about what they blindly rejected, you can see the anguish of their subconscious knocking at the door.

The question is rather why would one need to point the finger on others' failures, especially with the intent of building an argument.

title is wrong btw, livescores were always available when a lan was running. nothing changed except that you can now filter out lan servers easier than before

you dont need to be a hater, flamer, troll or whatever to be disappointed and out of hope. for everything we know, id is not going to invest any major effort into ql anymore. why do you think the development speed is going to take up? imho its just realistic to expect that its going to continue the way it has been since many month

first of all, i would expect id software to be much more open about their plans and current work.

but seriously there are so many things that would help ql.
look at the official forums for example. how many million threads have there been about freezetag? a new, beginner friendly teammode that could use old maps would be really great and not so work intensive. but talking about work, id hasnt even managed to give us a decent scoreboard or chat tokens...
another part would be community maps. but i really dont wanna get into it, we had the discussion time and time again (cause there is zero progress)
