I currently use a Steelseries QcK that has a completely dilapidated bottom left-hand corner. I liked the pad, but the wear and tear has left the QcK in a wretched state. Previously I was using the original fUnc 1030, but switched to cloth when the rubber base became deformed after years of use.

I would like to switch to a plastic, aluminum or other synthetic material that isn't cloth. My only conditions is that the surface is medium sized, works with my G3 laser mouse and has a sturdy base. A base that is actually a part of the pad and not a separate piece.

I mostly play WoW now, but I've gamed in the past and prefer using a superior product where the only mistakes in-game are caused by me and not shoddy workmanship. Not that I'm a pro, but I like a smooth surface that won't wear out. Perhaps my G3 would perform better on something a bit more grainy. My QcK is pretty rough at the moment, but out of the box I was thoroughly impressed by the softness.

If anyone has any suggestions or experience with a G3 and a great mousepad, please leave comments. Thank you.
