The videogame BAFTA awards for 2008 took place on Tuesday night in London’s West End, where the "best games" and developers in the industry were awarded for their achievements. The over-all winner was

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare winning awards in 3 categories: Action & Adventure, Gameplay, Story & Character and also the "GAME Award of 2008" which was a public vote.

The winners are as follows:

Sid Meirs Civ and CoD 4 Modern warfare definitely deserved those awards! L4D is questionable best online of the year as it was released pretty late.. as well as I believe spore and fallout 3 should have been in there somewhere

primarily that the story and the dialogs seemed to me to have been written by a 10 years old child ; then the repetitive and boring gameplay/missions. and then I dunno, basically everything else was from bad to meh except the graphics/art which were kind of cool

that is true, the story was pretty poor and as soon as i finished the storyline i loaded up the last saved game and continued on my way. Also changing the main attributes / stats, and all that, give the whole game a different view... smacking the mutants with bats is stronger than you might think:) was fun too play and i liked the whole ""RPG-FPS" " thing going on

Fallout 3 is some sort of engine demonstration, pretty much like Crysis...when you look behind the shiny and very well polished graphics, well there is not much to see there
