I enjoyed it aswell, I like socs tactical style - now if the railgun (well ok, the hitboxes) would get nerfed a bit, that style would show some more value :)

Its quite simple. When you got a superior aim, you can adapt your strategie to that aim. For example: Camping the RG YA on fleet.

But when you adapt (or learn how to apply) that aim in to your regular gamestyle or strategie you are using your aim like its suposed to be. The aim is a tool that makes the strategie more efective.

If you depend or build your strategie sourrounding that tool the efectiveness of your strategie will depend on your aim.

Also, the aim based gamestyle, its just not a smart one. They just apply in the most tasteless way that advantage. Even if that meens camping on a hallway 5 min.

But what happens when the other player outsmarts a "I-AIM-I-KILL" player? The aimer is lost in the map. Mainly because he cant grab a RG, or a RL. And cant even catch a MH timming. They start wanderring arround the map and the game is over, unless the dominant player makes a mistake.

ps. How many times did you readed some one saying "I lost because i have a poor rail %", but his rail % was higher than his opponents? Thats out smarting someone.

so basically, everyone should base their strategy around having shitty aim (even if they don't)? that way, one always plays smart, and if their aim is wonderful, they're playing smart AND using good aim. it may sound like i'm condescending you--i'm not. i'm just trying to put it in terms i can understand =P

Is not really like that, you just cant depend on your aim all the time. You can take somethimes "aim based" decitions, but in a invividual match context. If you corner yourself up in a "aim based" style, you are not onyl going to play dummer. But you take the risk of not playing at your usual level on a tournament.

I dont think is smart taking this kind of chances.
