So I recently got a VX2268WM viewsonic LCD for christmas.
The monitor works fine in the sense, I've installed the drivers from the disk and can get 120Hz on the native res. But unfortunately my PC isn't stable enough to maintain 120Hz ingame at the native res so I need to switch res.
I can't get 120Hz at any other res than 1600x900. All the other resolutions have different set refresh rates 800x600 - 55,60,72,75 for instance.
I was wondering if there was any other way to get 120Hz at another resolution. I've been told you can but I'm having no luck.
I tried to install the latest drivers from the site and they install but then say "No monitor was found please install the unsigned drivers".
So yeah tl;dr Need help getting this bad boy running different res at 120Hz.
My g-card: 9800GTX Nvidia
My OS: Windows XP
