Well you asked for it, so here it is; NGL 2.0's Second Season of Tournaments! :D With the overwhelming success of our limited scale, invite only First Season involving two brackets; [S1 4v4 CA] and [S1 4v4 CTF] Double Elimination Tournaments, we're glad to announce that we've finished all back-end preparations for the Launching of our Season 2 Tournament Brackets. We are now taking sign-ups from the entire Quake Live Community (Just come visit us in #TheNGL on IRC.GameSurge.NET and /msg NGL-Ultra or any NGL Admin to register for any of the Season 2 brackets!)
This will not be invitation based like Season 1, we only did it that way because we wanted to prove some of our internal concepts and systems with a smaller group of teams (8 CA, 8 CTF) so we hand picked them and we apologize to the other 15 teams that weren't able to participate (My own being one of them). With Season 1 a pure success with our http://www.the-ngl.com/S1/S1-CA - [S1 4v4 CA] Champions Suave (smf) and our http://www.the-ngl.com/S1/S1-CTF - [S1 4v4 CTF] Champions DaFoneMen (DFM) both returning to compete in Season 2 this has encouraged several new top tier teams to form in order to challenge these reigning champions. We're most likely looking at having approx. 16 teams competing in our http://www.the-ngl.com/S2/S2-CA - [S2 4v4 CA], http://www.the-ngl.com/S2/S2-CTF - [S2 4v4 CTF], http://www.the-ngl.com/S2/S2-TDM - [S2 2v2 DM], and we're hoping to get an full house of 64 Duelists for the NGL's first http://www.the-ngl.com/S2/S2-DM] [S2 1v1 DM] Tournament. We hope to have a very fun, exciting and successful (oh, and popular) Season 2!! Lets make this the best one yet. Oh, and by the way - prizes? Yes, it is possible there will be prizes in time for the Season 2 tournaments, if you want to see this happen please help the NGL's chance of pulling it off by getting all your clan mates, friends, and .. strangers to idle in our channels (#TheNGL @ irc.gamesurge.net + #TheNGL @ irc.quakenet.org) and also we need to increase our website's hits totals so spread the NGL's website url around irc, http://www.the-ngl.com perhaps begin using the forum. Those are just two things the community can do to help the NGL's dedicated staff pull off these high tension negotiations and convince several manufacturers we're talking to that the NGL is for real, and we're here to stay, and stay on TOP.
