If it's a booth, I can't think of any. If you were to play with your friends on a LAN Party, I would recommend downloading some fun mods and maps.

Using a listen server in any game is a disgrace. The fact that you don't see bugs/wrong things doesn't mean that they don't exist.

I don't care if you don't care but don't tell newcomers that they can use sux listen.

Calling astz a newbie is like calling rapha a low-skilled player.

A dedicated server is superior and it's easy to set-up at one of the computers that will also serve as a gaming PC. A listen server would do fine for just a booth, though.

I played quake3 on lan 5 years with non-dedicated server, I dont see any problems there. with good sv_fps its 2 times better then dedicated.

i'd suggest you use a dedicated server, probably running in the background of your game. Theres some odd behaviour on listen servers... Obviously some won't notice but i did. :p

Your config might conflict with different machines, particularly resolution/refreshrate/r_lastvalidrenderer. Set the first two according to your hardware and remove the 3rd from your cfg, it is set automatically/unneeded.

You'll also find example server configs in the CPMA folder (assuming you use CPMA) that you can use with a dedicated server, listen servers aren't exactly recommended.

from what I remember it has fps issues also (played osp)
in order to have the full physics (which are broken in osp anyway -some guys do like mentioning it every time, especially osp haters)
because on listen server you need to set sv_fps 80 or 120 or 125, else you won't be able to strafejump properly, and if you use high sv_fps settings your demos will come big
you need to use dedicated server, with sv_fps 25 or sv_fps 30 -it has the same effect like listen server sv_fps 80 or 100-120, but the size of the demos will be normal, also you get the kinda settings and thus feeling/smoothess/movement that existed in competitions from 2001 to 2005
