It's all implemented already. You need to change the option when spawning a server, from 0.5 further points (aka, random on 50% of spawns further away) to 1.0 (random on 100% of spawns).

they share the fact of having weighted spawn system in contrast to games like qw which has random spawns. if you want to see what that means, go to nquake.com, install qw and watch some demos or play the game.

yes, i believe so. i'm not sure if there isn't a difference between game modes though, and wasn't there a change in osp compared to base?

Give it a go on random maps, such as mirrored versions of the regular maps (aerowalk, t7, ...)

spawn control is a good thing, not sure why you'd want to remove that aspect.

I'm with you there, but I'm sure a one-day cup could be fun with non-default settings!
