ESR: Tell us about your gaming background.

ESR: What hardware do you use?

r2k: Intel Pentium 4 (Prescott) 3.2ghz 800FSB with HT Technology, AOpen Geforce 6800GT 256MB, SB Audigy 2 ZS, 1gb of Cruical RAM, Asus Motherboard P4C800-E Deluxe, 2x 120gb SATA Western Digital WD1200JD Hard Disk Drives, Samsung Combo CD-RW/DVD drive, LG Flatron 1710B.

This hardware is chosen by my brother as I have no idea about hardware at all but I am learning, plus I trust him in what is good for gaming.

ESR: How do you think you'll do in the VIA ESi tournament?

r2k: It will be a very hard tournament despite all the skills and knowledge I do have. I have prepared by just playing a lot of known UK 1v1 players and my teammates of course to learn more about dueling.

ESR: Who are you most wary about in the VIA ESi tournament?

r2k: Well...everyone (heh) because they have more dueling knowledge than I do and I think that will be my downfall.

ESR: Quake 4 has been out for a few months now, what do you think of the game and do you think it has a future in Esports?

r2k: I like the game, its a game in development still but I can't really argue about it as map and modder makers are trying there best to develop it as best as it can. CTF was the main mod I played in Quake 3, I was hoping for the same in Quake 4 but with only 5 maps.....I'll wait :P. I've moved to TDM and I am really pleased with how its going, few little fixes need to be done but once they are it will be great.

ESR: How would you describe your Quake 4 playing style?

r2k: Its definitely a mix of offensive and defensive play. I can't really say if there is something unique about my style. I just play like most others do.

ESR: Who do you think will dominate Quake 4 in 2006, and why?

r2k: Well we already seen that Europe dominated CPL Winter 2005 and the UK players (TooGoood and Deus) did well to get into the last 8 standings. I think with 2006 and the World Tour coming up for me its out of Cooller and Toxic as they have shown there dominance and it will be hard to knock them off the top.
