Cached.net reports that an eleven year-old kid won the Japanese World Cyber Games qualifier. His name is
Taiki Terasawa and he goes by the nickname
Kikuji. Certainly, this is the most interesting WCG qualifier outcome and made the American preliminary's results look boring. Second place went to
hanbei. The UT champion in 2001 and 2002,
Crize came short of the spot this time.
Is the Japanese UT2003 scene so weak or is Kikuji so talented? You can download the demos from the qualifier on
cached to find out.
