i've read it three times. why would anyone want to try an exec with which your mouse isn't working properly anymore? :) or are you being sarcastic? am i slow on the uptake?

players had to use a quake3 version they dont even had at home for practice ? would be very strange..

i dont like the new clients and serverversions much in progaming.
for fun they are good imo, but they are not well tested, have too many differences to 1.32c and sometimes there were things fucked up when i played: in clients and servers !

ofc i know some people like to see it in another way, but i trust the id pointrelease more for progaming and serious games.
its well tested over years and the more reliable setup (for me it was so far with much less problems)

about the problem of using a g9. i see it in another way:
if this client will not allow people to play with a g9 but in the original quake3.132c.exe it is possible to play with a g9 then this client is simply not good enough for a tournament !!

would be unprofessional behavior to use it.

so i tested the cnq3.exe and got same problem like with the ESWC.exe :(

maybe try to change in_mouse value in case you havent.
it has solved a problem with one mouse i remember for me
although i dont like to play with another in_mouse value.
but better than changing the mouse i guess
