Unbelievable Bomb Defuse on de_nuke (183 comments)

Last Friday the German ESL Pro Series team n!faculty shows an unbelievable bomb defuse at the first Intel Friday Night Game in Frankfurt against hoorai. More than 1,200 spectators were live in the location and did not get what happened. faculty build a five player tower on the lower bombspot of de_nuke and defused the bomb through the ceiling. just seen the movie (wouldn't load that fast) and it's even the same map I saw a movie from of pretty much the same situation, allthough in the thing I saw the bomb was allready planted when they were finishing the tower thingy....

dunno what the excitement is of doing the same stuff over and over... but ow well that's why I don't play cs in the first place.

The movie you are referring to is the pubmasters highlights movie. Basically they play in small competitions but mess around doing loads of crazy shit such as shotgun rush, all duel berratas, making towers all the time and also the nuke through the floor bomb defuse. I have never seen anyone else do that defuse and especially not at this sort of level so it is pretty special tbh. (in cs terms)

The reason its the same map is because there is no other (decent) league map that allows you to do this type of defuse.

in quake useing some kind of bug which occors on a map is usualy banned after it has been discovered. And well.... as usual some undocumented features of a game are regarded as being bugs by people that are not able to use it.

They were bugs in the original Quake that became accepted because it seemed that it took skill...

However, CS is supposed to be "realistic" and also tries to reward tactics - so if team A has the bomb planted, all they should have to do is defend the site - not an area under it!

I'm not a CS player, so maybe this kind of thing happens often. But I dont agree with you at all. I think that was a great move and in the little experience of CS that I have, I have not seen something like that done before.

Landing double rails in q3 happens all the time so its hardly the same =).
Maybe this does not qualify as major news, but I think its nice to see some CS news for a change, so tbh, I dont mind at all really.

I once played a pickup game with prozac in it, on dm6, i took a railgun from a guy i killed, even though I was low on health.
Suddenly prozac killed me cuz he wanted the railgun, and the called me a stupid fucker for taking it when he had higher health.
Thing is that I didnt even see him =((((.
I got my revenge though a few months later when i beat him and a girl at online monopoly =p

He is a nice guy though, havent met him offline, but I have a heard time believing he would be a cunt when he seems like such a friendly man :)

i can only say that there aren't any stupid bugs in wsw or q2, which require stupid "paper rules" (this defuse is abused in most of the leagues afaik)

Nice defuse too and yes its still unbelievable and not only because the level of play is a bit different from the pubmasters-movies.. if you do an unbelievable goal in soccer and someone does it again after a few years its still unbelievable!

no, it's because he was going to do a Ninja Defuse. Most often you have to kill all the terrorist to be able to defuse, he managed to sneak through a well guarded bomb site, and almost defused it. It would be epic.

I'm sorry but in the video I saw (and with the little I know of CS), you can see the guy planting the bomb; so I guess that makes him a terrorist, right?

Then he camps, sees all his mates have been killed, goes back to the bomb site and sees a guy (BUT HE HOLDS HIS FIRE. MY GOD I'M SPRAYING CUM EVERYWHERE), camps some more (in order to let the time go by..). Then he gets out and kills a steady guy defusing the bomb (so he couldn't even see the pov-guy) then gets killed by the other terrorist camping nearby. And that last remaining dude doesn't have enough time to defuse. T wins. Epic.

That guy should sign up to become general in the army or whatever, he really is a born "dux bellorum"..

oh sorry, I misunderstood this video with the other one in this topic.

So now, about THIS video, the guy that plants is the Terrorist, everyone else is the Counter Terrorists.

Now, what made this an spraying everywhere play, is that, by sneaking REALLY well, to a place where CT's couldn't see him and that could be "easy" for him to kill the defuser BEFORE anyone saw him (that's the tricky part) he waited to kill (and then be spotted and killed), if he didn't do that, any remaining CT (as in the vid) would have enough time to defuse the bomb and win the round, and/or some1 could kill him be4 he killed the defuser.

It's not looked at as cheating to defuse through a thin floor because it's shootable through. It was probably too loud there to hear the defuse noise and just spam under and kill 5 people.

As for bashing CS, there's a reason why it hasn't died. It's pretty fun! Stop riding the hate train and don't be so narrowminded :D
