The EO and petroid have worked on a Daikatana version, with which anybody is able to play Daikatana online without any restrictions.

This version is based upon the patched salesversion of Daikatana 1.2 and includes anything needed for Multiplayer.
All singleplayer maps have been removed of course.

The whole thing is absolutely legal and has been approved by John Romero himself.

Press the [MOUSE] button between the [VIDEO] and [KEYBORD] buttons in the main menu. You can only configure the mouse buttons there and in options you can chouse mouse look.

the overall game design is poor or overdone
maps are dark, look blocky with washed out textures with no gameplay value whatsoever..

save yourself the bandwidth. download Warsow instead, go pro! :P

install Linux + Warsow on a partition -> problem solved

or even install Linux on a USB stick and run Warsow from there.
this way you'll save the trouble for repartitioning & installing stuff on your hard drive.

Haven't those been given out for free enough already :D I'm sure my copies come off some gaming magazines or something. Now that I think of it that's how I got Q2. And best of all, of course, Die by the Sword! :)

Been out of the loop from gaming magazines for a long time though, do they still do cool shit like that or is it just "here, have this months' popular full DVD size installation MMORPG and five day key (if you also register at the publisher website)"?

:D Seriously though, YES. Awesome game. I thought the swordfighting system worked really well (at least it could look good if you had the skills), have some kickass memories from 3-player LANs. I demand sequels!
