After a superb final in European Quake League between Sweden Legeartis and Netherlands Firing Squad that featured a thrilling series of four maps it was Legeartis who finally came out on top. Legeartis got a nice start in the final, taking the first map DM3 with a fairly narrow margin and then owned DM2 after they got a fullstart which they used well. Firing Squad showed some great psychological strength though and came back on E1M2 where Legeartis have a very strong team on paper. The last DM3 was a very nasty thriller where Firing Squad tried to use the hide tactic in the last minutes, it was too early though and Legeartis could get those few required frags the last seconds and secured the title as champions of the second season of European Quake League.

The coverage of this grand final was very nice with about 300 spectators via Qizmos following the action while they listened to the commentary supplied via the Quakeworld experts on teamspeak.
