Finals' demos uploaded.

x6-cha0ticz is close to two grand richer this week as he's won yet another title in the Area 51 Gaming Quake 4 1v1 Tournament. Along with cha0ticz in the final round robin session were

x6-cl0ck and

K9-Nine. Since luck is never on the side of the quake tournaments, the outcome ended in Nine > cha0ticz, cha0ticz > cl0ck, > cl0ck > Nine fashion. cha0ticz and Nine would play another best of 3 for the top two placings due to winning on frags. The final score of this series speaks for itself:

we had just finished playing K9 vs B|D. nine was tired and requested to postpone to wednesday (as he'd already agreed to allow cl0ck to postpone once). the a51 admin, cl0ck, and cha0ticz (i'm actually not 100% sure about jared's involvement with forcing the match, but i imagine he had to be an influencing factor) all denied him that opportunity. nine showed his appreciation for their understanding.

I've played matches at Quakecon at 4am in the morning and then had my first match of the next day scheduled at 8am. Get used to this kind of crap if you plan on competing.

quakecon i can understand. but a online tourney that 100 people know about? sounds like an attempt to hide the fact that 2 x6 buddies steamrolled nine in votes :D

cl0ck is in K9 as well. Also, cl0ck was allowed to postpone because he had technical problems (a 500 ping), not because he was tired. I stayed up just as late as nine after working a 12 hour day on 6 hours sleep myself. There was no reason to drag the tournament out any longer than it already had been.
