144hz T/N vs 144hz IPS Panel Input lag? (10 comments)

I'm looking to move from 120 hz to 144 hz . My old 60 hz secondary monitor has crapped out and i'm looking to use my 120 hz as my new secondary, also i've come into a little bit of money at around this time so it works out for me.

So heres my main problem. I would love to buy an IPS panel, and I am aware of the expense... the thing is the few that are around at 144hz sit at a 4 ms response time.

So....do you guys have a link to any articles that interpolate response time and input lag on a scale of some sort? Or better yet have any of you had the chance to use one of these 4 ms IPS panels and noticed any discernible floaty input delay ?

If theres input delay its fine, i'll settle on one of many 144hz 1 ms T/N panels.

You guys were really helpful when I asked about mice after breaking my 10+ year hiatus of lurking a few months ago. One thing that was linked to me was that one chart that shows the fail rates of sensors at low DPI. That really helped me decide on my current g303 and introduced me to finalmouse hype, lol.

So in the spirit of that if anyone has any discussion thread or chart or information I can dig into to find out if 4 ms 144 hz IPS would be playable please please let me know and thanks again.

I'm really done buying razer mice at this point. I've had the diamondback, the copper head, 4 deathadders and an abyssus. They all broke exactly the same way.

Right now my right click is randomly releasing when i hold it down, and since i've been playing the unreal tournament alpha this has resulted in constant self damage with rockets while trying to charge them.

I am completely out of the loop on mice. I have a replacement Intellimouse steelseries mod but i am looking for something with really durable side buttons . I like to bind the side buttons for push to talk but because i claw grip i tend to brace my hand to avoid losing aim while talking - and that often times snaps the side buttons or breaks them after awhile.

The Abyssus was great for claw grip even if it broke, so while i don't want something the exact same shape as either deathadder or abyssus , if i could get a mouse that has the same size and weight as the abyssus or the deathadder/intellimouse but ALSO has really durable side buttons thatd be awesome.

What mice are currently like this ? Thanks in advance. I registered today because i figured you guys would be the most informed on this. I don't trust the mountain dew infused MLG children that are all over reddit and other sites.
