nVidia input lag: issue found, not fixed (27 comments)
Posted by tommix @ 11:51 CDT, 7 October 2014 - iMsg
Hi all,

I've posted couple of threads within last 6 months here (thanks to Lorfa and other guys trying to help me), read lots of shit, changed monitor to 144, changed mouse, updated/reinstalled/downdated GPU drivers and trying to change 3D settings there, flashed bios version but issue with huge amount of mouse movement delay (input lag) still exists.

And I hope finally I found what problem is, please, look at this screenshot and let me know how to reduce this amount (turned HPET off, no changes).

Mouse lag (31 comments)

Hey ESL, please some advice to fix this: feels like mouse responds with some delay, looks like 30 FPS game, totally unplayable (lol lg firing).

Hardware:

BenQ XL2411
SteelSeries Kinzu v2 Pro Edition

Settings:

displayrefresh 144Hz
resolution - native
com_maxfps 250
com_idlesleep 0
in_mouse 2
m_filter 0 (feels like 1 with 200 ms ping)
nVidia drivers default
swapinterval 0
mouse settings in windows default
cg_filter_angles 0

What was done to fix it (100 times):

cvar_restart / vid_restart / new cfg exec / vid_restart
in_mouse 1 / 2; in_restart
nVidia 3D settings configuring
nVidia drivers newer/older versions installing
mouse engine drivers installing/uninstalling
mouse firmware update (was helpful some time ago, this time no effect and couldn't update couple of times)
all found mousefix regfiles used - no effect.

I thought the reason in non-native resolution used before and some due to scaling input lags, but it was fine on any r_mode before this problem. Looks like everything is ok with cfg, monitor and videocard settings, but something wrong with mouse.

Also I remember that this problem disappeared couple of times but not sure that I made something for fixing.

Please some help to configuring/fixing this, it pisses me off, I definitely sure that you all know what I mean: effect like truelightning 0.5, ping 200, filter_angels 100, fps 30

Smooth CFG settings lost! (24 comments)
Posted by tommix @ 13:03 CDT, 12 June 2014 - iMsg
Hi all

After such a long time of cfging finally I've got settings that surprised me: it come much more playable and comfortable, everything got smoother/slowlier. So easy to hit/dodge/move/trick. Even every new sens settings become native after couple of hours of playing.

Sometimes this comfortable (native) settings feeling disappears: I can't say exactly what changes but it's definitely not the same. It's about video settings and sens feeling as well.

Sorry guys for that noob question, but I'm tired trying to fix it during 2 weeks. I've read lots of stuff but still can't find the reason. Now it doesn't happen from time to time anymore, my "native" settings are totally lost.

What I've done trying to fix that:

Reinstalled OS (Win 8)
Installed/Uninstalled all the drivers (nVidia and steelseries)
tried all mousefix versions

I can't explain this more closely, but it's totally impossible to play. And I guess that the reason is not in my cfg, because it was fine with that before and i've tried some pros configs as well - same shit.

My cfg is attached for any case.
Windows 8 64bit
Mouse SteelSeries Kinzu v2 PRO
Display: usual LCD 60hz

Please, need some advice

Sens losing (11 comments)

Hi all,

Registered here for asking help in this question. I've reinstalled my Windows, put all settings (mouse, monitor...) back on to defaults as it always was, but sens feeling in ql is totally different.
Sure, I execed my saved cfg, deleted repconfig and qzconfig, reseted settings in ql - doesn't help. I feel like whole cfg doesn't mine, not only sens.
Guys, tired of that ql shit (comparing with q3 experience), why that sens feeling loses from time to time even without any changes with windows/drivers and what do i need to do now to restore my settings?

Thanks
