I feel like making a new movie recently, there's a bunch of ideas I have that I want to put on paper (.avi).

I don't have much time, so making a community movie like last time is seriously compromised. I'd rather one of you niggaz came up with a bunch of demos for me to edit. I kinda have fell off with the community that's actually playing, which is the reason I come here asking for material.

It will probably feature ignorant rap music or other shit that's sure to rustle the jimmies of some of the nerds here who mostly listen to Arcade Fire thinking they're hot shit. So be warned.

CFG Cleaner *Help needed* (40 comments)

Hey

I was bored at work so I made this cfg cleaner with foul language. IN EXCEL

It's very simple to use, juste paste a shitty, ql-generated, 2000-lines-long cfg file in the "shitty" tab and voilà, a clean cfg in the "clean" tab appears, ready to be pasted in a nice cfg

I proof tested it with cypher's and av3k's cfgs from DH (which kinda gave me the idea of doing this).

What it does :
- Basically it just copies the important binds and cvars
- For weapons, as a lot of players use complicated stuff on their weapon binds, it copies those

What I want it to do in the near future :
- Copy important vstrs
- Have all the right cvars (right now im based on Lorfa's templates + some I added up, but I think there are some missing)
- Be automated, as in : you'd have a window, browse for a cfg file and bam you get a clean one in some folder

This is where I need help : is there some vba magician who can automate this shit in a little program ? Is this even doable ? Advice, help will be appreciated

Just kidding. With the recent changes added to tdmpickup, a discussion spawned on how more experienced players should always be nice to the newer ones and not "give them a hard time". The situation happens a lot in tdmpickup where one player will have massive -net and drag the team down so much that they can't win. I've witnessed 2k dmg on dm20.

Now I know with the whole elite thing this has changed quite a bit but still, I disagree with the fact that newer players that play like shit should be spoon-fed with nice comments. I started QL in 2010 and got anally raped countless times by polak (((, got insulted in pickups etc... Some of the guys that gave me a hard time are actually my e-buddies today. I was more motivated by the fact that I had found a game where I had a lot to learn and numbnuts were crushing me.

So I guess my point is : it's all "friendly" ribbing. Quake is a hard game, the community is hard too. Get on with it, get skilled and get revenge on those cunts. Newer players have to get with the program, because if they don't get that initial shock and don't realize what newbs they're being they will never have the motivation to become proper 40 shaft 60 rail airrocket harosh )).

Sup folks,

I have two weeks to spare before I start my internship, so I was thinking about making one last movie before I get on with other things. I gathered my own frags which were not satisfactory so I'm calling out to you guys out there.

It will be a 5-10 minutes community fragmovie with a light theme (nothing too extreme) and hopefully a pleasing soundtrack \:D/. By the way if anyone has some ideas for fitting music, do recommend and I will criticize your music taste.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO MASTER ?

Just send one or a few demos to: [email protected] or msg me on IRC (sharpe @ #leveluptv)
In the name of the demo you should mention: a short description of the frag(s), a timecode (count up), and the nickname you want to see appearing in the movie.
The mods I will accept: DUEL, TDM, CTF in order of preference. No CA, sorry.
Types of frags: airrockets, cool weapon combos, lg rapes, quadruns, flagruns, epic frag runs and funnier stuff like grenades or whatever random things happen to you.

Do not miss out on the opportunity to be featured in the fragmovie of the decade !

Ray Thenoob waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were cheats in the game. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to p0rt were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late now, anyway.
Ray was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the forums and he said to dad "I want to post daddy."
Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY cheats"
There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of the ESR he knew there were cheaters.
"This is p0rt" the radio crackered. "You must fight the cheats!"
So Ray gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall.
"HE GOING TO KILL US" said the cheats.
"We meat again... I will shoot at him" said Detlew and he fired a lazery attack. Ray plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill.
"No! I must kill the cheats" he shouted
The radio said "No Ray. You are the cheats"
And then Ray was a aimbot

This is a movie from France sharpe (maker of Furious Anger and GALLONS) featuring himself and buddy Belgium malaka. Frags are duel and TDM, pickup, prac and official games. I tried to go with an arcade theme, I hope you guys enjoy.

So I'm moving into my apartment tomorrow here, and the rental agency have told me that there is Virgin already plugged in the area (Crawley near London). I've heard that this ISP is terrible. Is it terrible for everyone? Will there be awful warping even if I get a 100mbps deal?

I've seen that for DSL I need a BT line. Is this long or complicated?

Hello

I'm the happy owner of a brand new 2233rz which I'm using with my home computer right now and it's really great.

I will have to leave for 6 months in July and will be taking my xps m1530 with me. It doesn't have a DVI output, only hdmi and VGA, with a 8600m GT.

My question is : is it possible to get true 120 hz with those output at low resolutions? Will my graphics card support it ? Is anyone using a 120hz monitor without DVI ?

It seems that, for what I've found on google, this is not the clearest of issues...
