About 2 months ago I got banned from that UK miggins pie shop ffa server with no explanation or warning as to why I was banned.

Im still banned. its a shame because I like ffa and I am from the UK.

Im going to get a long overdue upgrade from my gts 250 to perhapse a gtx 750

I need it to run 2 monitors.
my 250 has two dvi sockets that I plug to. but most new cards seem to have 1x DVI 1x VGA and 1x HDMI
do i just get an adapter for hdmi and it will run fine?

baring in mind I need my main gaming screen to be running at 120hz with as little imput lag as pos..

any tips for buying?

Dear all,

The future of quake is so bright, because the game is just so fuckign awesome.

The level of most players is just so fucking supernaturaly high, all the young players can really look up to these guys, the dedication and work that goes in to playing like some people do is just mind blowing and a real inspiration. The diversity in the types of characters that emerge in the scene is also an asset and a joy.
Improvments in technologie have made great settups for playing more comonplace so that more players can play the game as its ment to be played, leveling the playing field!

Streeming and all the new comunity created media has given newer players a glimpse into how good players think and practice and generaly what quake is about and what makes it unique and in many ways far superior to most fps games.
So much fun to be had!

I look forward to seeing how we will find a way past this silly period where id and others think they own quake and are determined to fuck it up, when really WE own it now! Mwahahaha
Lets not fall at the final hurdle. Its time to bring quake into a more mature age where computer games gain the same respect and depth of understanding as more historic and established games such as chess. This calls for ease of distribution and a nutral, functional, classy and customisable user interface.

I'm going to start work on harnessing the bitcoin protocol's hashing power to run decentralised super low ping 1v1 servers today. Gimme 5 hours I should have one up and running.

Ive got a anti virus and firewall that both have game modes.
I am aware of spybot search and destroy.
and I do /msconfig and get rid of all startup programs I dont need.

Is there any other tips and tricks to get a nice stable connection?

I'm in UK and ping is fine on all UK and most Euro servers. But in the last 2 weeks certain servers, DE and NL mostly are 100 ping around..

I've heard a few other people talking about this. Whats the reason?

Could there be a solution?

I changed no settings and all of a sudden I cannot do 360 due to neg accel.

heres some boring maths for you...
I used WMO for ever! and was recently sent a steelseries sensei to try out.
I wanted to get my old sens and accel exactly on this new mouse but it was allot more tricky than i thought, maybe down to some things steelseries don't tell you about the mouse or maybe coz ther's something i overlooked.
I discovered the phoon website is gone so i used
to do the conversions.

my old settings with the WMO were:
1.5 windows multiplier in xp (notch 7)
1680 wide screen res
103 fov
sensitivity "3.2"
cl_mouseaccel "0.1"

which gave me a 'cm/360' of 27.988980716253444
and a 'real accel' of 0.045353090706181404

I then changed the dpi field to 1000 (which is what I set the sensei to) and the windows multiplier to 1(notch 6), and then tweaked the sens and accel to match these values.
It returned sens 1.92 and accel 0.036 as the equivalents.
but this felt way off when I used them. by switching between the two mice and settings to gradually bring the new one to the same feeling, I came to the settings accel "0.0133" and sens "1.485" which are near perfect.
I'm interested as to why the calculations weren't correct. maybe i was getting negative accel with my wmo before with such a large res? Maybe polling rate up to 1000hz is a factor?
If anyone could shed light on this would be appreciated, cheers!
