As for the Practice, I myself searched for it few years back on DVD to no luck. Really loved that show.. I mean Boston Legal is good but entirely different.

yeah exactly man :) The intensity and completly unique episodes following eachother just makes the show worth buying on dvd :P I have season 1 (6 episodes only) and the whole season 8 on my PC... but cant find the rest ><

It's a hard show to find for some reason. however i do see seasons 2, 3 and 8 on bitmetv. Some times producers hold up DVD releases because they're still making money from re-runs.
David E. Kelly seems to like the law, he made L.A Law, Ally McBeal, The Practice, Boston Legal and now 'the Law Firm' although I think that's reality TV. I see Boston Legal as a mixture of Ally McBeal and the Practice.
He also did Chicago Hope and Boston Public, Boston Public was cool.
