It got cancelled, so I guess they have to re-arrange it.

When i watch demos i get big black smoke instead of explosions. Do i have a weird setting in my cfg or whats going on?

the ra and the ya are displayed the whole game even if they take it. and some sound is missing... weird demobugs.

I had the same problem getting on the server. To fix it, i downloaded the update tool here : http://redeyepc.co.uk/iTG/Q4PickupUpdater.rar and installed ALL of the map packs from levitation ftp, here : http://levi.teamspeak.org/dl/?action=catview&...rcatid=151 plus added in the two maps added to the cup here : http://levi.teamspeak.org/dl/?action=catview&...rcatid=152 (galang and phrantic final)

what version of phrantic did they use? final or beta? might be a problem there..

It loaded the Beta when i watched it.

As far as I know, the server had both version on it, which is one of thr many reasons I had so many issues getting on the server, so id say its best to have both just incase.

Very good match, v00 has a very interesting style of play.
Skrik had a good run near the end as he dominated the armour, althought he couldnt find v00 to get a frag.

voo plays the game just how it has to be played. Ppl must get used to do crouch sliding all the time as he does.

I really like this game, both players play really nice game.
Vo0 and his "crouchjumping" seems to be soo fast
Strik play also nice game, but he has simply no chance to win @ Phrantic.

i got really every map, mod whatsoever now .. still can't watch it ... its getting annoying >:(

The mod you should have is X-Battle - but the demo should be playable in "pure" Q4 too

note: if u had add that map into yours q4base while Q4 is running, you have to restart the game

I have all of that and the Problem comes up on both Demos so I think its not a Probelm with wrong or missing Map (?). Watched alot of Demos so far but this is absolute new to me. Here is the Error I get. Maybe someone can figure whats wrong :

ERROR: Failed to spawn entity with classname 'projectile_gev_turret_damage_mp_
splash' of type 'idItem'

Before the Error comes up Q4 seems to load the whole Map properly. No problem so far with joining a Server or create a local one with these Maps.

I've only seen a similar error in Q4max...

It is working now. I threw out every downloaded .pk4 and only used the PickupUpdater and a link to the tmp2 Maps. I still don't know where exactly the Problem was tho. :(

Madness isnt it. Lets hope this is one of the main things raven look at for the first proper patch...

I still cant get it to work, says there could be a problem with demo_enforceFS. Then at the very bottom i get the error, something like ' cant spawn tactical command, problem with spawn point ' : /

done a little more searching and it says im "missing 1 pak file from initial recording : 0xb8e4defc"

any ideas on how i can figure out what it is ?

Is there a command or tweak I haven't enabled that will allow me to see the player's hud during a demo?

I've watched a few and while everything works fine (no rendering problems like those mentioned here) I can't see any hud at all. Is that just the way q4 demos are played (LAAAAAAAME) or am I doing something horribly wrong?

host a lan game and then, once ingame, play the demo. you should have a hud now.

In general, it is best to play demos in "pure" Q4 - without X-Battle 0.5 or Q4MAX 0.5 loaded. (but u cant see brightskins)

U should D/L TMP pack 2 (for other actual maps) and PHRANTIC in FINAL version.
Main problem is, when u have demo recorded in X-Battle and try to play it while Q4MAX loaded :-/
