pc's are better for everything, there are millions of video editing tools, which are all bug free
you can make native andriod and iOS apps in visual studio

even audio midi using pure USB, find a usb 3.0 isochronous PCI-E expansion card and your all good, but there arn't many to be found for cheap
audio companies are too poor to include a single port card for £2000 hardware

I'm not deep into coding but OS X + Bootcamp in combination with parallels desktop is a decent setup. You can access your bootcamp partition from OS X without much trouble and the performance is OK (good enough to run and use CAD/3D applications at least).
I've been on a mbp for a little more than 2 years now and I think my next laptop will be a surfacebook or a dell xps simply due to constantly having to circumvent software limitations with OSX..
I also kind of think that video editing on a macbook would be rather limiting in terms of disk space.. considering the 1TB SSD mbp is like 3000€ there are probably better alternatives. (Let alone the mac pro which I wouldn't buy today anymore)

well you can't 'code' in swift without a mac.
if you're not talking about a laptop, think about this: do you want to replace the whole thing every time or do you want to be able to add and replace whatever part you want. also do you want to reboot into windows just to play quake.
for laptops MBP are pretty great except for the new one.
//mac user thinking of replacing an imac with a pc.

You don't need a mac to do video editing. You need video editing applications, as fast computer as possible to shorten video rendering times and enough disk space to handle huge raw video files. Getting a mac doesn't make any sence as notebooks just don't offer that much performance than a pc can for the same price (and disk space as well since we are talking about video editing) Unless you travel 24/7, you are better getting a regular pc.
If you want to develop apps for ios, there is no need for a mac as well. You can just run a Virtual machine with mac os installed on it and run xcode if you really need it. As p0rt mentioned, you can do fine with other IDEs other than xcode to create ios apps
Personally, in my eyes, a regular pc with windows is superior to mac in every way i can think of, both the price and the tools that are available for you to work with. Wolfcam alone is a application that is kinda tricky to run on mac os to begin with. Adobe applications work on both windows and mac
Ok, you can setup a dual boot on a mac and get all those cool windows programs. Do you really want to reboot your pc every time so you could play quake or capture footage on wolfcam and then copy video files to external storage device, reboot again to mac os and copy those video files back since you cant access another OS file system that easily even when they are installed on the same drive. And then realise that you can skip that and just use windows and get the same end result?
P.S. and mac os is a pain in the ass to use as every other apple product
