No one, really? :XX Could someone recommend me some classic creepy stories, I dunno, like Edgar Poe?

Want creepy stories? Read the Bible. It's full of them. ;)

On a serious note, I won't be reading bible as the language there is too hard for me to understand and the amount of information there too I'd believe. Still not sure if you were for real suggesting it though.

Depending on the version you get, the language may be not hard at all. Apart from the Book of Numbers (that can be really boring), the Bible is fascinating.

It's full of epic adventures, fantastic, mystical and dark stories and has lots of really practical teachings. It also illustrates a part of History.

As literature, it is a great book to read! One of the most colourful and rich there is.

That said, I'm not suggesting you become religious or anything, of course! I am an atheist myself. And yet, I read it a few times, and I truly recommend it to everyone that likes to read.

After you get the hang of it, you'll find it isn't as hard to read as you may think. :)

The Bible is made up of lots of books. Take your time, and you really don't have to read them all in a row. If you want, you can pick up something else in between books.

It was alright, thanks, but too many hints throughout the text were suggesting the landlady is some kind of maniac, so I'd not call the end twitsted tbh.

that particular story is more of a slow build up rather than a twist, yes. Most others aren't. I just linked that one because it's probably the shortest one :P

Any suggestion what to start with his work / best books of his?

Seeing that you like short horror stories, most his early works are just that - pick an interesting name, start reading and you'll have burned through a few of them before you're aware again. Wouldn't recommend a specific one as I haven't read them all. Alternatively, read Call of the Cthulhu and see if you want more, if you do, there's a whole mythos :)
